Did anyone see the commercial last night on a class action suit against Chantix. Finally another one of FDAs wonder drugs is on its way out. Seems pretty rediculous that Chantix got FDAs blessing and killed numerous people, but the e-cig stands to be banned.
One of the most ironic things I have witnessed is while watching tv, I first saw the new Chantix commercial, followed immediately by the class action lawsuit ad. Actually, there are a number of class action lawsuits out there. As for being on its way out, I don't know. Pfizer is making a ton of money on Chantix. Considering that Pfizer recently got the largest fine for a company ever, over a billion dollars, perhaps this lawsuit coupled with the recent mega fine will help to expose drug companies.

Your mom said not to say...
These are the same type of people that claimed oxycontin was a new wonder drug that had no addictive properties....how they could do that with a straight face kills me. They got slapped with a class action lawsuit that was huge at the time for lying about the results and marketing it as such. They paid the fines and the lawsuits and you can still get the crap prescribed today and be a junkie in a month. Now they have a new target and when some money is moved around to make the big shots happy that weren't in on it from the start things will be fine again until another item gets in the laser sights of the government.

I have to say I agree. They have enough money and lawyers to weather the storm and backing in the right places with the right people to get a nice long structured settlement. In the meantime chantix sales will continue and if the FDA has its way and disrupts the ecig market enough, it might even increase when former vapers are left with the same old terrible options that drove us to ecigs to begin with
