Hey everyone. I purchased a Titan 510 from TW and just got it yesterday. I put the first battery on the charger and it seemed to charge just fine, the charger light was initially red and then after a couple hours turned green.

But then when I put the second battery on the charger, the red/green charger light wouldn't come on at all. The LED on the tip of the cig flashes 4-5 times, but the charger light never comes on. I tried leaving it on all night just to see if maybe it was still charging but the battery is still dead this morning. I tried putting the other battery on the charger just to see if it was a bad battery but the red/green charger light won't come on for it either.

Did I get a defective charger? Or is there some other "Trick" I can try to get this working?

Thanks in advance!

I seriously doubt that the charger you speak of will work with a 510. So Im afraid it looks as though you will have to wait for a replacement.

trutest - until ecigs recieve the legislation that legalises them no one, other than the China Manufacturers is going to put real money into them. So till that happens we are stuck with the cheap stuff from China, which I have to say, in my experience, hasnt been that bad.

From a USA standpoint I doubt they will ever receive the 'stamp of approval' from the powers that be.

As for expectation and the china junk being acceptable - this would all depend on the individuals standard I guess. For me; paying 60,90, etc. $ for a product that fails this often or has such a terrible failure or performance rate is silly. So it is in the novelty consumer category IMO.

Trutest, I dont know what chargers you are referring to, if its the kind that come with the 901 and 510 models, I can only speak as I find, and in my early days of vaping, I only had one of those fail on me, out of around 10 or so, which to me is not bad at all. Costwise in pounds would be around £6 each, so not expensive.

The chargers I uses these days are for the ecigs I currently use, all of which charge batteries of 3v 3.7v etc., and I have had nothing but good performance from them at very little cost.

So it really depends on what you are buying.

This is one of the dearest I have bought yet still only cost me $12:30 with free shipping. DealExtreme: $12.30 UltraFire 3.6/3.7V Battery Charger

1. 510 wall charger DOA. Never worked at all.

2. PCC for 510 - cost $25 USD (not cheap in comparison). Never worked properly at all, would not charge unless I physically held the battery down manually. Ridiculous. Sent it back. Have yet to hear back or get replacement (actually would prefer money back at this point).

That was all in 1 week. So, yeah, pretty high failure rates.

then I would indeed say you have been unfortunate, and I do think it is down to some very bad luck. The PCC is a specialist piece of kit, being a portable charging case, and I do own one, which I bought back in April this year, and still works well.

So I do sympathise that you have been a victim of bad luck over these issues, in general the PCC is a pretty good piece of kit..

Im sure TW US will sort it out for you, as soon as they can. And I sincerely hope this hasnt put you off vaping..

Stay with it..

When I started I read everything, watched reviews and the most useful video by Spikey that warned me of equipment failure, and as a result I have had a pretty smooth ride.. But chargers, well no doubt if I had a DOA charger early on in my vaping days, I would be p*ssed off right now too...

Just dont give up on the ecigs.. they can and do help people like me to quit. I havent had a ciggie now for 6 months after 43 years of smoking.
