Charger Problem

My usb charger for my Easy stopped working a little over a week ago (been borrowing my friends) and I don't know what the problem is, particularly because I'd only had it for a week at that point . Light doesn't turn on when plugged in, batteries don't have any response when plugged in. I tried cleaning the inside and the battery contacts but to no avail. I think it may just be dead, but if anyone else has had this same problem and been able to fix it, any advice would be appreciated.
