First post in Reoville after living in BWBland for the last few months. I'm about to finally drop the cash for a Reo Grand, and i've been researching batteries and chargers. Everything I've read tells me to start with a pair of aw imr 18650s. No issue. but what about the charger? I like the idea of the DSD 2 station charger on the lighthound site, even though it's out of stock. I found the same model elsewhere. My question is: why should I buy a $40 charger instead of this $12 one that even shuts off when it's done? Am I missing something?

The less expensive chargers take longer to charge a battery and may malfunction after a few days/weeks/months of usage.

Or they may work forever. The same can be said for the Pila.

I own a Tenergy TR-001 (I'm assuming its a rebranded Trustfire charger) and a Pila. Neither has given me any problems, but I worry less about bad stuff when using my Pila.

As long as you have a working charger, you're in business.

This Xtar Charger is supposed to be comparable to the Pila but for a considerably lower purchase price. I've only read about it.

RTDvapor has batteries and chargers, plus he is a member here. I got 2 ultrafile WF139s from him, inexpensive and they work fine.

As I mentioned in another thread he will have 4 & 6 bay chargers added to his choices of chagers. He is now selling Pila too.
