there's an irc link at the top of that page for irc users, i just need to make irc and the chat link together so there isnt two chats, try the irc link or use your own irc client and v4lvapor.info 6667 as your server info

Yeah, saw, it's just that it's so cruddy, ad-heavy, and obnoxiously intrusive (imho)
The new gui-based AJAX site that Sun put up here: V4L Vapers is actually quite slick, IMHO. If it and the IRC could be tied together, it'd be uber-slick.

Trunus (the chatango creator) is on board with the idea, I spoke with him as to not undermind anyone. He had originally looked into IRC but I think he lacked input from anyone as to what everyone wanted.

I only have a couple of issues with the new chat.. some not worth mentioning much, but I hate having to scroll down every 5 seconds to see what people are typing. Prob wont be able to take that much longer tonight. lol
I think the scrolling thing is caused by scrolling up to read something. I had it happen to me, when u get done reading higher up scroll all the way down and click the arrow at the bottom of the scroll bar a few times. There's alot of similiar issues on many other softwares and internet pages but there is no fix for it, it's how the browser interprets auto scrolling. Give that a shot.
actually i never scrolled up to read anything.. I minimized my ie window, and maximized the chat thingy it helped a little but its still doing it.
yeah, i'm finding a few bugs here and there myself now, it's trial and error, i need to get with trunus and see what his original ideas where, irc would be the best but it needs to be a "Your nick" and a connect button or some folks won't use it for lack of sheer simplicity
