Ok so I am trying to get figure out were to buy my products. If you had the option of getting a product from the US or a product from china, and they are the same price but the Chinese one has free shipping which would you choose.

the US one has $5.00 shipping.

Depending on the product I'd go with the free China shipping provided I was able to wait for delivery. I buy all my mod batts from DealExtreme in China and plan my orders ahead as shipping averages 12 to 14 days to my home. I've even done hassle free warranty replacements via e-mail with them and have no complaints.

As for attys & juice, I buy those from vendors in the U.S.. With a little shopping around you can find Chinese pricing with free shipping without the worry of customs. Good state side pricing on OEM batts can be found as well.

It would depend on what products and what vendor. If you read some of the review of supplier threads, I believe there is a thread there where someone ordered many of a product, received something totally different, and had an endless go round trying to even get them to understand what the problem was (not sure if that ever got squared away). There is also the risk, depending on what product you're ordering, of something getting hung up in customs. I've ordered a couple times from our forum suppliers in China and it has happened, but I hold my breath until tracking shows US Customs has released it because, especially now, it's a distinct possibility. I don't know if I really think it would be worth the time and worry to save $5, but I'm an immediate gratification person, and I have a hard enough time waiting for packages to get to me from two states over.

I would deffinatly support my own country for the $5 difference if that was the only difference, heck it would payoff just in delivery time, but supporting my own country would be significantly better, wiser choice seeing it creates jobs and income for people who need it. plus we need to restart manufacturing here in the states again big time, it use to be the backbone of this country till we sent everything overseas and it has now caught up to us that we are not manufacturing like we once use to
