As a follow-up to this thread:
e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/1500-e-cigar-atomized-carts-any-good.html

I got the e-cigar. I was looking into trying this whole e-smoking thing, and it was a perfect candidate: cheap and got decent review from TB.

It came pretty well packed, nice box and all the items as promised. Put a battery to charge, and after about 2 Hrs. the green light turned on and I was ready to go (I don't believe in the 8 Hrs. first charge). I have to say that I'm pretty impressed from the product and the concept. Easy draw, nice amount of vapour (about the same I've seen on videos around here, but not like the LongTotem). I have no experience with other e-cigs, but I think that the taste could be better. It's nice while puffing, but the after-taste is kind of bitter. Can't comment on reliability issues, since I only got it today, but I don't expect much. If it will last long enough for all the 24 cartridges, I'd be pleased. Overall, about 38$ including shipping is a very decent price for the product and I do recommend it for beginners, or as a second device.

can u tell us about what u require from the device.. i think people need to tell the audience this kind of stuff..

some examples..

experienced user or new user..

type of devices u are familiar with if any..

current level of real smoking..

what u hope to get from the device.. for example a hardened 20 to 30 a day smoker hoping to replace his habit.. a none smoker wanting a hand to mouth placebo or someone just curious to see what e smoking is all about.. or someone who simply wishes to keep on real smoking and simply use the device where real smoking isnt permitted.. in short an occasional user..

without this information i think user comments are misleading at best..

these things are very variable and so are the users requirements from them.. just some thoughts i am having as regards some of the contradictory comments we seem to be getting on here..

Trog, you raise good points, but have you read my post? I've answered most of these questions...

For the rest, I'm an light-average smoker (~15 cigs a day), that wanted to reduce drastically the number of cigs per day. I hope to smoke only the e-cigar at home/work, and regular cigs only at social events. So far it seems that e-smoking is a perfect solution for the job.

I am using my ecig right now for the wrong reason. I am chewing on the mouthpiece. I am still sucking it and enjoying it but the soft plastic of the DSE901 cartridge is too temping to chew once the end piece with the small hole is bitten off. When chewing the DSE901 cart you get a burnt plastic smell if sniffed carefully, its not pleasurable smell but then you think how the heck you managed to get that smell just by chewing it!! My DSE 901 helps both of my habits, chewing and smoking!!

LOL You are absolutely right! I am a good for nuthin, plastic destrying placebo chewer LOL! For me its the smoke and hit at the back of the throat because thats what I missed about smoking, I loved smoking with my brother, he came over yesterday, I smelt his smoke and I vaped with him in the garden and I felt great!!! but I know I would be very sad and depressed without it, I don't miss the nicotine when I don't have it but my balance and short term memory go crazy without it!!!

Trog, what you don't recognise is the psychological addiction to the process of smoking. Nicotine may be chemically addictive but even when smokers quit that there are still cravings for the ritual of inhaling and exhaling smoke.

i dont miss that kate.. but a placebo user who has kicked the nicotine addiction dosnt require the same as me from an e device.. i really do need the nicotine..

to put it another way.. "all i need is placebo device this one does the job nicely".. is okay we know what the guy needs and what device gives him it..

but his opinion is utterly useless without the relevant information..

If I was vaping without nicotine I'd still need lots of vapour and good taste. The only difference would be the chemical effects of inhaling nicotine. You don't need an ecig to get nicotine Trog, you choose to use an ecig because you have a habit of smoking. People who quit nicotine still have a habit of smoking, it's the same. They may use a different formula liquid to you but the addiction to smoking is still there. It's psychological.

You choose ecigs as your preferred delivery device for a reason, what is it? You could inhale nicotine with an inhalator or get it in numerous other ways but you insist on smoking ecigs. You don't need to do that unless you have a psychological addiction. You are not smoking ecigs because you need them for nicotine, you are smoking them as a placebo for your habit, just like everybody else.

jeesh.. why be so defensive.. u wanna puff away without needing nicotine do so by all means..

if a guy who needs nicotine lets say darcy for instance says xxxx e-cig is good for him a i believe it might be good be for me..

why.. cos he talks sense.. his needs are similar to mine.. i value the opinion of darcy..

expert user.. needs nicotine.. is english.. dont like wasting money.. now do i value your oppinion.. well i recon i give it as much credence as u give mine.. he he

we do need to know something about what users need from these things.. if we dont the current chaos and totally conflicting opinions will continue and the place will be useless as a valid source of e cig information..

what suits one guy wont suit another guy.. if we know what the guy needs it starts to make sense.. if we dont it never will..

the way it should be done is in the user profile for all to see.. u wonder.. u click and u find out.. it helps to know who u are talking to.. this matters to me if it dosnt to u..

trog

ps.. i really have no desire to walk around with a tetley teabag full of tobacco stuffed under my lip.. i smoke e cigs cos i know no other way except real cigs to get the nicotine i need.. loseing my nicotine thru poor vapour production hits me a lot harder than it hits u.. so stop talking rubbish please..

I've never read such a load of tripe in my life. No wonder you're confused, you insist on packaging everyone up with neat little labels and telling them what they do and do not know or experience.

I know what it's like to have a nicotine addiction, I have one. I know what it's like to have a smoking habit, I have one. You may think that being Irish or something equally stupid makes a difference to my needs but you are talking out of your .....

okay i am talking out of my ...... but i know i get no pleasure from e cigs.. i tolerate the things simply to feed my addiction.. i get no pleasure partly because the things are struggling to do the job i need them to do..

if all i needed was a placebo i would have no problems.. unlike bob i am not prepared to smoke a real pipe.. use snuss.. and some other hard line stuff and e-cigs to feed my habit..

but yes.. to be honest i dont have much sympathy with e cig nail biters.. but we all have our needs.. mine is nicotine from e cigs.. e cigs are giving me problems..

an e cig nail biter should find the average e cig okay.. i dont..

my advice to an e cig nail biter is stop being so neurotic and get off the stuff.. pretty much the same as i would say to a real nail biter..

Trog, I'm curious about what you said earlier "the way it should be done is in the user profile for all to see". Do you mean that we should say on our profiles how addicted we are? Maybe we could say how many cigs we smoked before ecigs or something but apart from that I don't know what criteria you would use to catagorise someone. I'm really puzzled now, what makes esmokers different from each other?

Kate, Trog is very special. There is no one else in the world so special. He tells us that in every post. Plus, he knows everything about everything. Just ask him! He's insulted the brightest members of this forum numerous times with his hehe attitude and snipes from somewhere in left field. The real words he needs to use are not hehe, but meme. It's always meme and no one has meme needs like him or is so meme special. I've been rounds with him before, like you're having now, and he always keeps responding so he has the last meme word.

So here's his meme word ...
