I know sucralose and other fake sugars are bad for you, I never actually eat anything with fake sugar, but I know it's in the vape juice. This study is going off of what consuming the sugar by eating it and what it does to the stomach, could it have a similar effect on the lungs being vaped? I'm not exactly paranoid or worried about it, I have no idea if sucralose actually gets metabolized when we vape it vs eating it, and how much of it has an effect. If I think of someone eating sucralose, like drinking sugar free soda, they're definitely consuming way more sucralose than what we'd ever even have in a 100ml bottle of vape juice.

Just thought this may be an interesting topic since it is in our vape juice.

The answer is to DIY your own juice and if a sweetener is needed, which is rare, then use ethyl maltose.
Man. People 8 different people say like 8 different things. So, actually I tried mixing up juice with virtually no sweetener, and added ethyl maltol. It's doesn't taste like anything. As soon as I drip it into my atomizer with some extremely sweet e liquid, all the flavor comes out. Imma go crazy. Lol. Idk if it's the flavors I use, by my mixes with no sweetner are bland and not sweet at all. I'm not really too worried about vaping such a small amount of sucralose though.

LOLz . . . . . .

Did you know air pollution damages DNA?
Ya gonna stop breathing?

Or that obesity damages DNA?

If you dig deep enough you can find many things in everyday life that damage DNA.

Ummmm, did you know . . . . . . Our bodies naturally repair our DNA?

The DNA in just one of your cells gets damaged tens of thousands of times per day. Multiply that by your body's hundred trillion or so cells and you've got a quintillion DNA errors every day.

Good information you post SMT.
I agree with you that our life is a cocktail mix of dangerous substances, in the drink, the food, the air, etc.
For the most part, the body repairs it, that said, we are interested in limiting damage to our DNA.
Keep up the information you spread, interesting reading mate.

Well all know how the media likes fear-mongering and click baiting. It said something about thinning the stomach lining, but most likely that's people who consume it way in excess. Like I said, I'm not really worried don't believe it's that harmful when vaped. There's probably a way smaller amount in a 100ml bottle of vape juice than in a can of ultra monster.

Oh for sure.

Just looked it up, a can of Red Bull has 51 grams of added sugar.

Adding 0.5% of WF Sweetener to a 100ml mix is 0.5 grams / 1% = 1 gram. I sincerely doubt that small amount is going to cause problems.

People have been vaping commercial and DIY juices since what, 2007 (16 years). If there was a problem it would have been known by now.

Most of the so-called bad ingredients in DIY flavors are in PPM (parts per million), IOW a tiny amount. As far as I'm concerned it is still safer than smoking cigs.

:)

FWIW, I ended a sweetener thread because I suggested erythritol

I don’t do extra sweeteners anyway. Most of the good flavors don’t :smokie:

I don't use any sweeteners. Many flavors have X amount of sweetness. Like strawberry, orange, pineapple etc. Same with bakery flavors.

Wayne from DIY or Die Vaping has an excellent YouTube video on sucralose, stevia and erythritol.

I use a bit of ethyl maltose in mixes with sour flavors, like lemon or lime when there's not a sweet flavor to balance it out, but that's the extent of my use of sweeteners. EM may not work for others, but for me it adds a bit of sweetness without being over the top.
