Hey all, just got my cool lil chibi tank in the mail today... Pulled it out, filled it up, topped off carto and started vaping.. great flavor, great vapor, but more fluid coming out my battery connection than I'm vaping!

To be clear, the tank isn't leaking out of the tank itself, it's leaking out of the battery end of the cartomizer. Almost like when you overfill a carto. However, not sure that there is a way to control the flow on this. I am using the 1.7 smoktech cartos that come with the 3ml tank.

TBH, that hole looks a little large on them, but it is the same on all, so could just be me.

Any suggestions/ideas? I've already tried filling several different ways, including putting an extra syringe tip in to vent the air when I fill with a syringe.

Also, tried filling by just popping off the top cap, dumping in some juice, and putting the top cap back on.

On the plus side, I'm getting pretty pro at emptying one of these to save juice!

Sorry I should have added we use the Chibi tank also. Great tank but like you said the holes they supply seem a bit large. I punch my own so I make them smaller. Sure can't beat the price of those tanks. I pull up one side of the top cap and slide a syringe in the space to fill it. That way I never cut the rubber on top.

Now that I've got it going, the holes aren't really too big -- you just have to be careful when filling to either a) leave an air outlet (I do this by syringe filling with just a syringe tip in the other side to let air out) or b) rotating/tilting the tank to keep the hole out of the liquid.

Been vapin this thing all day happily now that I figured it out!

I'm not sure if the hole size would matter. I've got a similar tank from a different supplier (I have my Chibi's too, of course! See sig :D ) which also uses SMK 1.7 cartos, and there are FOUR holes on it, and it works perfectly. So I'm not sure what it is, unless that particular batch of cartos had a flaw in the connection to the batt end or something?

I've just recently encountered issues similar to yours with my liquinator tank. My carto (actually the battery bit) seems to be flooding all the time. It was working fine for the first couple of weeks. Now, it keeps flooding onto the battery thingee. I've tried all sorts of things from adjusting the exposure of the hole to the way I fill the tank. The one thing I've not tried yet is the PG/VG content- I tend to use a 80/20 PG/VG mix and I'm thinking it may be too thin- maybe up the VG to thicken it. I don't know. I was so happy when it was all working fine. I even changed out the carto thinking there was something wrong with it too, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

Just ordered a Chibi. Looks worth trying. My Liquinator gurgles and drives me crazy, LOL. I contacted the manufacturer and they suggested it might be a cracked tank or bad O-rings. I just got the thing like three weeks ago and it was working fine. I haven't dropped it, only did some refills and changed a carto recently. The gurgling sounds like a hookah, LOL. Very annoying.

I made some adjustments and it's limping along for now. Y'all can hear me coming when I'm vapin' ;-)

This is what gets me about vaping.. one day I'm in vaping heaven, everything works perfect. I am so happy. Then the next day everything leaks! My chibi tank is leaking too. I refilled it like I did the last two times and now it all wicks out. I have an older carto that I've been using (outside a tank) for several weeks. I've noticed that the last couple weeks, when I refill it I have to put the condom on and let it sit a few minutes to soak in. If I try to refill it without a condom, the juice leaks out the bottom. Maybe that is what is happening here. I DON'T KNOW!! (and that's what is making me so frustrated!!)

I just had the same thing happen with mine. I think its a combo of carto hole too large, and a top grommet that doesn't fit in there quite right, which is inevitable with some when a vendor buys a huge load of em.

I contacted Bill and Mary thru the 'contact us' botton at parkes, and Mary went out of her way to fix it for me! She dropped a new one in the mail to me same day, so do that. They're very concerned with client satisfaction and will do anything they can to make it right. I imagine it must be frustrating for a conscientious vendor not to be able to 'test' those tanks, since anything they put in would affect the carto or the tank itself. Anyway, let em know, and they'll fix it! BTW, there were also some great suggestions for troubleshooting offered by Krispers in the Parkes Vaping thread. I think it was about 3 days ago, or you can just search my username in the thread. Good luck!

Yep. Same here. And the bad thing is... I turn back to analogs when I get flustered and frustrated with things that go wrong. Ugh.

I guess it's a matter of luck or someone needs to come up with a better design/system. I got so spoiled by not having to drip constantly- the tanks are really convenient, especially when I have to go out and about. I don't have to carry around bottles of juice with me. Then again, this was my very first tank- and I did a bit of shopping around and assumed I had made a good choice. I've since decided to try a Chibi and I'm going to go shopping for a J-tank now. I hate to keep spending money on these things, but if I put it in perspective- the money is better spent on trying to find a decent vaping gizmo than on a pack or packs of analogs I'm still trying to wean myself off of.

They seem to be of the same format- a tank of some sort that fits over a carto that has a hole of some sort in it. I think there are some with some sort of string-like wick.

I just wish there was something different- that won't leak or flood, LOL. I've got on order a Chibi and a J-tank, just in case my Liquinator is crapped out for good. Ugh. Talk about shotgunning, LOL.

I think one of the best things I have read on this site is to fill the tanks from the bottom, when you press the grommet back in- air is pushed into the carto instead of liquid. I don't think I've ever filled one totally up and don't remember any major leaks except for when I sliced up a grommet when filling the tank. Got a couple 5/16 x 5/8 grommets at the hardware store to replace it and the rubber smell was terrible and ended up dumping the juice, so use vinyl grommet replacements and you can find them online/ebay/amazon for about $8 for 50.

Never fill them totally full, leave some air at the top
