Thank you for the response. I've already purchased weekend passes to Vapefest, which I'm sure they won't refund. However, I will likely decide to change our hotel reservations to the Vapebash location then decide later if we want to attend both.

Foggy, I have to say if you already paid for Vapefest just go to both. They will both be very good and they are both closebye. Cheryl from Cignot is even going to run a shuttle back and forth between the two events. Just go and have a good time. Don't get caught up in the drama. It really is not worth it. JMO.

In the interest of historical/factual accuracy, that would be "Darned shame [VapeBash] had to (was specifically scheduled to) sit on top of [VapeFest's] show".
Unless you are of the opinion that NVC is a corrupt entity and IVAQS could actually be harmful to fighting ecig bans...in which case you could say "thank goodness Vapebash decided to have their event on the same weekend so that NVC would take in less money."
I will restrain myself from further comment - only that history will someday be your judge on that.

I've never even heard of that organization. I'd like to check out one of these, since I'm less than half an hour from the O'Hare area, where these are. I don't even really know what's going on. I guess I would just go to the free one. It beats the heck out of going to where the "Chicago" meetups are; halfway to Iowa
So I just listened to the recording. I'm a new vapor and live in the area so I was originally going to hit both meets, but now after spikeys comment of not helping chicago we are ever in need...how can I as a chicagoan justify supporting a study from which I will be excluded any benefit? Regardless of the history or the legitamacy of the study or group? I'm going to look into it some more...but that comment seems to have alienated me at the moment.

Matt exactly what information do you have that IVAQS is a bogus study?
I listened to the show and heard alot accusations. Do you have some proof of misappropriations of the funds for IVAQS?
I happened to have been there for the study and would really like to know if theres some information you have, that I might have missed.
