Don't let my complaints minimize yours. I'm all for complaining, it's a good release.
I keep pliers handy, and monkey wrenches (although those have broke glass mason jars). My flavorings haven't been bad, they're all glass and none are childproof. The 10ml flavoring bottles are painful if I don't think to use a different finger.
There's always the method of handing it to someone else.
I've been wondering if it's getting grip back since surgery/nerves freed up that is tearing my knuckles up. I need to remember to ask my Drs about it.
My bought liquid bottles reused for DIY are childproof and a problem. I bought some bottles to rebottle bulk chitosan kieselsol for wine clearing and got quite a few spare caps that fit my 30ml, but cutting apart the worse offenders works until I remember to order some for all. The glass bottles I've bought for DIY haven't been childproof. Just ordered a bunch for nicotine and a few extra large ones for recipes I use a lot.
The offending bottle you showed, I'd probably rebottle all of those after that experience.
If it has a ring that snaps off under the lid when you open it for the first time try cutting off the ring with some wire cutters. Sometimes it blocks the cap from being able to be pushed down far enough to unlock the lid.
I often wonder how some people are able to open some of these flavors. I imagine it’s a group effort for more than just a couple people. I had the same experience, although in my case it was resolved by my brother with a steak knife. I had been ready to saw off the top and decant the juice (after filtering it to remove the plastic bits that would have generated).
I've noticed the same thing myself. I no longer even try to open a unicorn bottle until I've removed the tamper-proof ring.
Between child protection and tamper proofing, I'm lucky if I ever see my ejuice.
Ive done fire wood and construction my whole life 215 pounds and I know I have strong hands. I still have to put my body weight on some of these bottles to get them open.
Allegedly they're tested on people with arthritis to make sure they don't have trouble and they expect some kids to be able to open them. Too many adults do have trouble and too many kids don't.
Incidentally, I'm loving theses non-childproof bottles...

Looks handy! Will these pop open easily if thrown in a purse / bag, etc? Do you transfer all your flavors to these or use for your mixes?
I've never had one open, the lid snaps on very securely. I only mix, but if I didn't, I'm way too lazy to transfer liquids - IOW, I would never buy bottles to transfer (not that there is anything wrong with that.)
The ones with the rubber bulb and glass eyedropper are the hardest for me to open sometimes. Ive got one that i quit using because it would not open. I didnt mind too bad though because it was kinda nasty flavor i really didnt like that much.
If it is in a PET (plastic) bottle that truly will not open, just poke a hole in it with a sharp object near the bottom and squeeze the contents into a more "cooperative" receptacle.

Luckily for me my mother could never open them so she relied on me to open them for her from the time I was three or so. Opening child-proof caps is one of those skills (like having a native-sounding accent in a given language) best picked up as early as possible. If you haven't learned to open child-proof caps by the time you are six you will probably always struggle with it.
Ah- you have my sympathies. My grip is still fine, but I have nerve troubles elsewhere, and they are no fun, to put it mildly.
