the second version of the kanger subtank rba has side holes for the liquid to get in, and single airhole up the middle. It is perfect for chimney coil.

By the way, you packed the wicking around the coil, right??

Anyway, the kayfun design has the juice channels, not side holes; that isn't as suited for a chimney coil because the liquid has to come up from below, so the lower part of the wicking tends to be wetter than the top.

Another issue is the coil legs; one of them is probably long going from the top of the coil downward to where it has to screw in.

I have found it always best to make the coil to suit the geometry of the deck; even the direction of the wrap - clockwise or anticlockwise, and the length of the coil matter, so that the legs end up being pretty short, not kinked or bent

Naturally sir. I was born at night just not last night:).

Actually I put it on a Kayfun Monster base so I would have plenty airflow, and wicked it with Rayon instead of cotton, and the chimney was the same diameter as the airflow between the screws.

The thing was wicking like a champ with the tails going to the very bottom of the RTA.

It was OK. Just disappointed with the vapor production.

correct. One leg was longer where it came from the top down to the screw.[/QUOTE]

I had been wanting to put a chimney coil on my Kayfun. Built the coil to .78 ohms a bit over 2 mm internal diameter. Wicked then vaped it.

To me a chimney build doesn't seem to produce as much vapor as a normal coil. Has this happened to anyone else?
I've run them. I dont run them anymore. Too stifling.
