Morning PIF :)

Grrr I should have had this molar pulled 6 months ago when it started acting up. More dental work in a few mins. At least I will become royalty at last. :D ;)

So...what was it? 6 weeks ago Dakota was shedding heavily?........yet......he's "blowing" his coat :( full-blown - happens every couple of years this badly - omg there's fur everywhere! Vacuum daily and still looks like I haven't for weeks  Lox said it looks like I have a puppy on my socks :(

Only 1 "gentle reminder" from him ..... I forget sometimes when I'm using the comb that if an area has been thoroughly gone through I don't need as much 'drag' unlike with the brush - where it's "no holds barred".

Prism? Mark? Did either of your dogs actually blow their coats this year?

I used to think it was just a fancy way of saying they're shedding....no its not.......this puts shedding to shame

King was last year, I have to use a comb on him because the brushes don't go deep enough into his fur. But last year it was bad, two plastic grocery bags a day and if I would have kept combing more would have come out. This year it wasn't that bad. Thw weird thing is that what combed out was gray and he is black.

Undercoat? Poor thing is still itching like he has fleas...but he doesn't....it's the loose hair making him crazy :(

yeah, I brush first, then the rake, then get the comb out......I bought the undercoat rake head but he's not matted (I had a wire haired fox terrier once, omg you needed the blades!) - This is a whole system - one handle and you buy whatever heads you need depending on your dog's fur length, type, etc. And I picked up the slicker head for the cat :)

Both of my cats are blowing their coats. I was standing here tonight just pulling the fur off one of them and he was purring away. He keeps getting knots. He's got a very fine under coat. I have half a bathroom garbage can filled with his fur right now. And even had to take a tape roller to the car (bunch of cat hair on my jacket transferred the car)

We brush them everyday. I love them, but dang, wish I'd thought to bath them as babies to get them use to it. We treat the one with kid gloves because whenever he gets stressed, he gets a uti (so no baths) Though, he did survive the neighbor coming in to feed them when we were on vacation this summer...but for more than a month, every time the garage door went up, he dashed for our bedroom and would hide under the bed. (Neighbor came in through the garage - he's terrified of strangers.)
