Making a couple of pounds of pasta salad for (hopefully) a State Championship Cross Country Team (11th in a row if all goes well) They've got serious competition this year. Our girl's team is competing also and attempting to defend their title as well.
the Meet is held at the Ky Horse Park - in the actual paddocks where million dollar horses graze during the summer months. After the race both girls and boys teams, the parents, team mates and alumni (yes, we have a lot of alumni come back for the meet!) head to the camp ground next door and chow down.
the picture is from an earlier meet last year, but gives you an idea. Now picture most of the guys with buzzes or mohawks. for some reason shaving your head has become a tradition as well. go figure

Busy day, gathering material to build a little outdoor box to house a new pump and pressure tank. Electrical, plumbing, wood, concrete block standoffs. Rented a truck to haul the stuff, very convenient. Cut a fair number of the pieces tonight, at home on the mitre saw.
Tomorrow should be building the box, start the fitout, pick up final widget plumbing items.

Both men and women's Cross country teams won State! The kid who came in 1st in the A (school size) Men's race ran a 15.21, setting a course record and beating the second place runner by a full minute.
The second place team all dyed their hair strawberry blond in memory of their former coach who passed away last Dec of brain cancer. The Coaches brother quit his job in CA to move back to KY to help out with his 3 young nephews and nieces and to Coach the boys.
It almost felt wrong to win against this team. During the funeral procession last Dec, several members of the team ran with the funeral procession from the church to the cemetery. http://http://local.cincinnati.com/share/story/188047

Had some Veteran's Day activities to participate in I'm not a veteran, but I sure am glad they exist!!!! 
It was a gorgeous day here too - matched our record high from 1949!

Well I set my friend at work up with her vaping goodies tonight, and gave her a little crash course after work,in the breakroom. Before I knew it there were two of our co-workers joining the fun and sharing a vape of her Dragons Tear! :vape:It was a blast! There was even a non smoking one there who was asking me questions. He's interested for his son. Now they all want me to order them Boge V2s just like mine, on payday! Guess my mailman will be hating me next week! LOL

Such a cool feeling, eh Val? You could always give them the websites and some direction and let them order for themselves . . . but then, I came here to ECF and asked a million questions before I made my first online order so they are lucky to have you helping them through!
