All joking aside, I'd like to hear about this love story! and more importantly were you both looking for love when you fell into it or did it form out of mutual respect for one another. You know, my favorite tv show is Lost and it makes me think a lot about coincidence vs fate, some folks believe in coincidence as much as synchronicity, but I don't think coincidence exists. I think there's some funny juju goin' on up there sometimes!

Officer Nick O'Derm, ha ha, good stuff Vchick :)

Here's a story, and it's true. Mariano Absun escaped the Connor Correctional Center in Hominy, Oklahoma, by hiding in the back of a garbage truck. His body was found 2 hours later, crushed to death in the trucks trash tray.

Now, Absun was only serving a three year sentence. Three years, folks. That's how desperate he was to get the hell out.

A couple of shots from camp: the house and old camp/bunkhouse (being refurbed into work space), view from the porch across the lawn, and view at water's edge.

We brought in a new 40A subpanel to the bunkhouse last Fall, I'm bumping up studs and installing new roof supports before the roof gets recoated (that's why it's tarped).

The main house is a 70s trailer with addition of living room, porch, and a full A frame roof. It has full utilities, though the insulation pack isn't that great so it's really a seasonal place. I fully reworked the incoming water (from the lake, but I've got multiple filters, including UV), have been debugging electrical, a few odds and ends, bringing it up to current standards. I've got to rework a side wall of the living room, and should be putting in a 10x16 deck in front of part of the porch and the current stairs.

Cool location, close to home, nice neighbors. Got my first riding mower (fun :) ), since the lawn is a pretty healthy size, a standard mower would be too much like work.

Need to get a new dock, the old one was toast, we had the prior owners remove it, though with the deck build and other stuff we may delay one year, just use the canoe and maybe a small pedal boat this season.
