Yay, finally got access to the attic, I should be able to fix the errant ground wire this afternoon :)

No problem with the cold, plumbing came through fine. Get that ground fixed, then it's off to working on the living room exterior wall that needs to be replaced. Silly problem, last owner just didn't know how to do any maintenance, so something that would have just taken a bit of caulk and a few new nails to tighten up the old siding became a water intrusion point.

Progress on camp, ran a new ground wire that fixed a bad ground problem on four duplex receptacles. I still have four receptacles that show bad ground, but they are the same circuit, and one of the now-good receptacles is near the bad group, so worst case I shove a new ground wire through to the outliers, if I don't find an obvious missing/poorly connected ground. This exercise is also giving me the chance to replace beat outlets in general, a good thing, some stuff does need replacement after decades.

A gorgeous weekend coming up, hopefully I can replace that one section of wall that needs to be redone. Two windows in it, adds a PITA factor getting the cutouts and flashing right, but I should be able to get it at least most of the way done. New sheathing, Tyvek, siding, 12' x 8' area. I'll skip off the electrical for now, since it's in an overall safe state and the problem area isolated, to start by removing the interior wall (70s cruddy false-wood panels, a bit of water damage from the exterior problem, happy to rip and replace them).

I think I made a big OOPS the other day. I'm gonna address you folks because as moderators and especially those involved with PIF, you strike me as familiar with policies 'n procedures of usps.

I sent a friend some e-juice, in its original 30ML bottle (malty toffee from bwb), well technically my girl sent it because she passs the PO on the way to work. She wrapped it, packed it, and sent it priority. The PO guy at the counter asked her if she is shipping any liquid because they will have to open it if ere is. Well in her infinite wisdom she said, NO

When I asked her why, she said she triple wrapped it and didn't wanna open it again, or something to that effect.

I have read many pages at that site. I have never had a clear explanation as to what category controls our DIY juice. I know that the nicotine level in the juice could be a hazard if it was spilled and someone were to touch it and then their eyes. I know that a large quantity of high nicotine liquid could be very dangerous.

I have sent juice and answered yes to liquid product in the box in the past. The do mark it as such. I have been too scared to actually tell them that I am shipping a liquid containing nicotine. I just don't know what they would say.

This is one concern that I have had and fear some day a person will be exposed to juice containing nicotine during shipping. It could lead to a disastrous ban and/or legal actions that will end our internet purchases of nic liquid or juice.

I generally ship my juice in the same fashion that it comes to me from vendors. I make sure the tops are screwed on tight, then I stick it in a ziplock back and call it good. Never once had an issue with leaking. I think the ziplock back keeps it pretty safe in case there is some leaking. For an added security measure you can use water-proof bubble mailers, too.

Hi Sal :) good to see you :)
Awesome pif last night :thumb:

Thanks :) Nice to see you too! I just tend to collect a lot of juice. Usually the stuff I don't like or am bored of just sits in my cabinet until I feel it's too old and I throw it away. I thought that was a bit selfish and wasteful, so I'm just going PIF from now on. :) Would have TC'd it but I thought it would be nice to try a new juice!
