I need to drive from upstate VT to DC. I usually take I-87 and I-95, but this would take me through what might be the hurricane wreckage (Newark, Philly, Baltimore). Would the interstates be ok though? Should I take just 87 all the way down instead (so, more of PA: Allentown, Mechanicsville, etc.)? Any thoughts from people in these areas?

Oh thanks! I will check that out, and prolly other states then have something similar, too. Well, maybe not Vermont. Kinda behind the times here.
Also there is some site that has links to traffic cameras from around the world...hours of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy!!
