Hiiiii! :D Been trying to survive this summer...yes, already! Mercy, it's gross outside! And kids kids kids...and another on the way. Not us!! The parents of the kids I watch are expecting A. GAIN. Job security and all. LOL ;) My in-laws are arriving Friday, so you know, I'm putting off the cleaning by hanging out online and then I'll be a wreck trying to get it all done by Friday. In my defense, I did do some of it today. ;)

In vaping news: Back to mechanical mods, loving them and have a tank I love ON them. Don't know if you've used the XL Crystal, but we are good friends. I have a RSST coming to give the genesis style ONE MORE CHANCE. Oy.

MechanicalsTanks.jpg <---been vaping those like it's my job. LOL

Enuff wit da rain. Another 1"+ today, due for 2+ by day's end. I think (hope) I may have the new windows at camp sealed, will know later today when I check, but now DW called, said we're getting a little leak around the stove pipe in the Great Room at our main home. I'll check it tonight, attic crawl time. The only good thing is that our admin assistant's husband does stove-related installs, has the skills/tools to do a repair if it looks like a continuing leak. No high winds lately, I'm not sure why the flange on the roof would be messed up now.

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!. who plans a family reunion in the middle of ho-dunk Kentucky( sorry Kentuckians). I like nature and family as much as anyone but geez. Hey guys lets drive 8 hours to a cabin, forest and Lakes in the middle of nowhere with no internet and the nearest town 50 miles away. Like we can't find plenty of that here in Wisconsin. Who wants to cook, clean up and make their own bed on vacation?
How about a tropical island, beach, hotel, Wy Fi, and restaurants?

Thank you for listening to my rant :)

My brothers rented a cabin for a family get together for my parents 55th anniversary (which is not till November). Dad has been looking forward to having all his kids together at one time because except for me they all live a few hours away and one lives in Atlanta. If they would have had it up here in the Dells or something they would have gotten a lot more of the grandkids, great grandkids etc. to be able to come but all 4 of us brothers and sisters will be there. I am not sure why they picked a place in the middle of nowhere with no internet signal, not even phone or phone internet

It'll be almost like you're going back in time when there was no internet and it took weeks to deliver a letter. Sounds fun, now balancing my checkbooks doesn't seem so dreary Prism!

All kidding aside, I think it's wonderful you'll clock in some real face time with the family. That's the best way to charge your batteries - spend time with those you love and in this case, your blood too.

You just need a geek in your life, which I feel everyone should be allowed access to among other things. A good mechanic, a good lawyer, a good doctor, a good accountant, a good cook, and so forth. If ya don't know it all, then surround yourself with friends that do I say.

Have a good Monday Daisy, and the rest of you fine folks

***rant alert***

I think Dakota's new vet dislikes me......

We had taken him in last week - he's been very stiff in the hindquarters since his last bout with IBS and had apparently hurt himself playing with my daughter's new puppy - seriously over-heated which didn't dissipate quickly - now, as he's a little better, it appears that over-heated was a pain response - there was a warm spot over his back at his hips for about an hour that day.

Anyway, we talked to her about Cushing's Syndrome - she said to start with a urine sample as frequently there's a bladder infection with no symptoms. And x-rays....with sedation......as they have to really straighten the dog to get good films......been bothering me - that you have to sedate him because it friggin' hurts?....and he's recovering from an injury....called and cancelled x-rays for tomorrow.

Office called me back - didn't realize that a urine sample is being dropped off today, but thought I wasn't going to do anything for what is most likely arthritis? Really? :glare:

The dog had a major stroke 2 years ago - and I had it diagnosed by MRI so that he wasn't given a treatment that could have killed him....he has some residual weakness on his right side that isn't that noticeable - unless he's running too fast which means he "face-plants" in the grass....and you thought I'd do nothing? On the 2nd bout with IBS - she originally started rambling about that dogs don't have strokes often and it's usually another condition that isn't harmful, etc. I had to interrupt her to to tell her the diagnosis was confirmed by MRI - they had his records from his prior vet..... who sent me to the animal hospital that could help him the most - it's all there

***rant over*** but still annoyed.....
