No bueno.

Sorry Michael. I shall keep my recommendations to myself from here on out.

I like suggestions and it smells great, but it is a Syringe Killer! I'm waiting on it to steep so I haven't tried it yet. So many things sitting on the shelf waiting to be vaped I think Sugar Babies is next.

dont mind me guys, was reading the whole 19 pages (skimmed through 3quartes)

what are we looking for a chocolate again since this topic is wide.. as in chocolate as a standalone that taste like a chocolate milk bar?

if that is true , why dont we just focus on the key base chocolate then the secondary note, which is the milky texture?

saw a couple of mentions of the secondary , however there are a few post on milky texture part.. prob noone mentioned malt, there is a hint of horchata

anyone else?

Chocolate is hard, I do one but, it's a major atty killer (1-2 mils and the atty is dead beyond any hope of cleaning. I use Watkins Chocolate, Vanilla and, butter and sucralose. I like dark chocolate so, go light on the sweet and vanilla, but if I wanted milk chocolate, I'd up the sweet and vanilla and, cut the chocolate a bit to get there.

It does need a few days to steep and, I've found it best to mix the sweetener and chocolate and steep it overnight first, then do the rest.

As with cooking, plain chocolate is bitter, nasty tasting stuff and, it is still chocolate, it burns easily needs a delivery system that won't heat it beyond just producing good vapor. Took me playing with the mix and my delivery to get what I wanted and, my chocolate is horrible on my step son's gear. So For a chocolate that works for multiple set ups, I'm still lost on how to do that.

For a decent Chocolate you'll need Butter, Vanilla, Cream and Sugar.

EUREKA!!! I think I've done it!!! I may have just created what we are looking for in a straight chocolate vape!

I've been on this thread reading and taking notes along with doing other research about chocolate in general. So after all this reading and note taking I mixed up a batch of what I called "Dr.J's Chocolate Adventure". I thought since I was pretty new to DIY and chocolate being the 'unicorn' of juices that I'd mix up some mess that would be awful. Well I think I may have had some beginner's luck. I made a batch of my "Chocolate Adventure" on 7/24 and just put some in a clearo and WOW! I was so shocked that it didn't taste burnt I was like, hmmmm. So I took another pull and held in my mouth and inhaled/exhaled. I thought maybe I was dreaming, so without saying anything I had my wife take a few pulls and she's looks at me and says "Chocolate?". She took a few more pulls and said, "tastes like a Hershey bar". I'm so psyched!

So here's the recipe for "Dr.J's Chocolate Adventure" and what I did:

It's 15mls a 50/50 mix @ 18mgs.

TPA Milk Chocolate-5%
Capella Chocolate Fudge Brownie-5%
Capella Milk Chocolate Toffee-4%
TPA Vanallin-2% (10% PG)
Capella Butter-2%
Ethyl Maltol-2% (mixed crystals with 1/4 tsp to 10mgs PG)

After mixing the ingredients, I put in the microwave for 10 seconds and let it steep, sans cap, for 24 hours and it has been in a dark cool place since 7/24.

It's just a tad bitter but not very much, like dark chocolate. I think a few drops of EM might take that away and make it smoother, but all in all, it's a great vape!

The aroma is definitely chocolate. No funky smell of sweat socks as someone posted.

I like the TFA chocolates
5% Bittersweet
5% Double chocolate clear
2 or 3 drops of sweetener for a 10ml bottle and add some vanilla bean ice cream to it one drop at a time until you find the sweet spot.
I also don't steep this, it tastes best the day you make it and for the first week or two and then it starts losing flavor.

I would think a drop or two of a sweet cream and MAYBE a drop more EM would take that to milk chocolate. I do believe you got it. :)

That sounds like a good idea with the sweet cream. I'll have to get some. Just a thought, I have some TPA White Chocolate that I mixed up and found out it's not a stand-alone flavor, I might try adding a bit of that to the mix and see what happens.

For those who may be shopping, I think its "Milk Chocolate Toffee Flavor Concentrate CP"

You're right paddy, it is Milk Chocolate Toffee. I made the correction in my post. What is that next post you made with my recipe? When I click on it I get an empty "photobucket" screen. But I like the layout, that's really cool!

Just a note of interest, when vaping this I noticed that the "bitter" flavor I described I got when vaping above 4 volts. I've noticed that if I keep my spinner around 3.8 or a tad lower I don't get the bitter flavor.

I'm going to have to mix up another batch soon! I've already gone through about 4-5 mls already LOL

Once I get this fine tuned with the suggestions of sweet cream/EM, I can't wait to mix this some banana flavoring and get a chocolate covered banana flavor.

Thats from my Access Database. I generate a report in the TFA Only Recipes thread. I just clicked and right clicked the image and the recipe displayed. Don't know why it didn't work for you.

Here is the link for the report: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-recipes/343181-tpa-tfa-recipes-only-7.html#post10078438

Haven't been to many additions lately so it will probably be awhile until the next "release". BTW, when I see a TFA recipe I "like" it to indicate that it has been added. Yours had other than TFA flavors so it won't be on the report, sorry.

This is a really fantastic thread, thanks for all the work guys!

Has anyone got a recommendation for re-creating a dark chocolate, as used to cover an After-Eight mint (or Andes mint)? I checked in the pdf report quoted above, TFA's bittersweet seems to be a go-to candidate. Any other recommendations?

Much appreciated,

Ozy.

The TFA bittersweet is pretty spot on for a high cocoa content chocolate flavor. It has that slight bitterness you start to get when the cocoa is over 70%. I made Steven's bittersweet by the way and it is very close to that sort of chocolates. Something is still missing for me, but don't have a handle on what it is yet. That said I don't really think it would be a good match for something like Hershey's dark chocolate because those chocolates don't seem to have that slight bitterness to me. Smell wise it is possible that TFA double dark chocolate clear might but I will not swear it since it is one of the chocolates I have now worked with much as of yet.

Try adding some Butter Flavor and see if that fixes it and let us know.

I can just barely tolerate the amount of butter flavor in Capella cake batter. I don't think I will ever be able to bring myself to order just flat butter flavor. The 13% whipped cream really covers those flavor notes pretty well anyway. My current guess is that it actually lacks a drop of whiskey or rum to make the chocolate pop more. The bitter part of bittersweet has rather smoothed out after a week by the way.
