I am really considering the RN4072 from the site you recommended. That should be the pen style am I not right? I will let you know my decisions on brand of choice again, most probably I will heed your advice and go for the 901 but pen style.

I will need more information though, sorry about being draggy. I have a habit of being very careful about my purchases and have frustrate people because of this sometimes.

Do update me about your experience with 901, you bought the mini I suppose and how does the vapour feel compared to normal ciggy. I am aware that it is somewhat a different experience, but I will never get enough info on that. I believe this is where the unique 'languages' or 'expressions' of different places comes in handy.

I'm not sure yet, I have not tried contacting the supplier and i'm not sure if his DSE901 and carts are of good quality. Since i have 60 carts and an extra atomiser coming in together with my DSE 901, i have more time to decide if i'll try the local supplier.

Would quality varies since it's a 901 supplier as well?

Regarding the difference between the RN4072 and the DSE901, you'll have to seek advice from other members here.

I'm a 20 a day smoker now, I really hope this e-Cig will stop me from smoking regular cigarettes. From what i've read, the vapour will definitely be very different from a regular cig, but it's enough for most to stop smoking real cigs.

hi guys. i'm also from singapore too. just to share something, i've been on my dse 901 mini for about a month and haven't touched any tobacco cigarettes since then. this gadget which you may call really works well for me, although it doesn't provide the total satisfaction as a real cig but i'm still enjoying it. by the way i'm a 12-14 stick per day person.. i guess i'm really quite lucky so far, still only my 1st e-cig and atomizer.. have not broke down yet. *touch wood* still waiting for my 2nd e-cig package to arrive :) if you guys are planning to order more carts in the future, it would be ideal to do a group purchase so we can share the shipping costs.

Got my first e-cig today, DSE903 and so far so good.

Of course, it's only been 3 hours, but smoking good and I am not having any cravings, etc.

In fact, put up the ashtrays, lighters, etc and took a good long shower and washed hair, brushed teeth, yada yada ! Aren't I silly !

But, again, so far so good, unit appears to be working well and I have ordered some liquid/juice in various flavors.

If this one helps me even a little, then I will consider investing in more ....

By the way, for those of you who are NOT e-cig challenged and have some experience. Did you get the "stopped smoking" cough after a few days? Just wondering what to expect.

All new to me, except, of course, for all the priceless advice, reviews and encouragement from this forum.

I will keep you all posted.

hi bunny. i was like you at first..being a typical "kiasu" singaporean. i couldn't decide which type of e-cig to purchase and had to do some research. i was introduce by a friend about this forum and read many great reviews about dse 901.

So i decided to go for the mini as it's more of a realistic looking e-cig as i will be using it in the public. but i will also purchase penstyle for home/car usage. i can comment that the vapor in 901 is more or less about the same as a norm cig. the 901 is really a good device for starters. good luck! :)

DSE901 is a very good mini ecig...the RN4072 is a very good pen style...both are good generic ecigs,it depends what style you want, and what your main requirements are.

whichever you decide to get,be sure to get spares with them-very important.

if you need more information on either,do a search of this forum, theres plenty of posts about both ecigs that'll tell you all you need to know.:)

Don't forget to pick up plenty of spares! Pick up 2 atomisers, I only got one spare, the one that came with my penstyle was defective leaving only that spare. Its still going after a week but it is not making as much vapour anymore and I can't risk trying the adventurous cleaning methods ultil my next shipment arrives :p

That is really helpful, thank you.

I have been a light menthol smoker for the past 10 years. Light menthol smoker, not menthol light. A pack of 20 can last me about 2 days or lesser, but I got a gut feeling that if I ended up e-smoking, I will smoke more just without the tobacco bad side as I will be able to smoke in my room.

What flavors have you tried thus far and what is your opinion of it.
The differences you mentioned compared to real ciggy. What is it?

Something like a lighter air feeling? or dryer? smoother? 'more plastic'? maybe emptier? lesser volume? etc

I believe I will be happier with pen style as I do not mind inhaling with a longer pause to thin out all the vapour, but I do need a good amount of vapour when I draw. Plus I do most my smoking at home or after a meal, but I will do excessive smoking while watching anime marathon for some reason, a long battery life will satisfy me.

Am I right to say these are the 2 main reason why people chose penstyle?

Glad i'm able to help in any way. I was also a menthol smoke when i was on real cig but the ones in the cartridge totally taste different for me. So far the one i like most is the marlboro. Some of my friends commented it taste like shasha.. i'm still waiting for my vanilla carts to arrive and will let you know my opinion on it.

With e-smoking, i'm doing about 1-2 carts per day which i don't know if it's consider high but at least i know that it's more healthier than my previous. i somehow feel that my throat seems to be more dry now. The only main difference is the 'kick' feeling which i enjoy in normal cigarettes.

yes,pen styles have much longer lasting batteries and cartridges...

i find their vapour has a lighter consistency and less "throat" when inhaled in comparison to a DSE901,its still pretty good tho...but if its long lasting and convenience your after, then i guess the pen style is for you...as ive said, the RN4072 is a very decent ecig, and puts out good vapour.

please do a search, because theres lots more info on this forum.

again,i must stress the most important thing regardless of what ecig you buy...get plenty of spares, because you WILL need them.

A Kissbox extended version with 20 carts, plus shipping will cost you about $350, a DSE 901 with 1 extra atomizer and 50 carts costed me $206.

DSE901 is cheaper and i heard it produces alot of vapour and is almost the perfect e-cig for a starter. Once you think it works for you, get the kissbox.

Just my 2 cents

That's very sensible advice, and I would add, in the end you will need more than one e-cig if you take to e-smoking. You will need an extra if one breaks. You will need one when you forget to charge up the other, or are away from your chargers. You may find you like having two different strengths available, or two different flavors. Or you may want a super-mini for social smoking, and a pen for regular use. ANd you may just plain find yourself having fun buying new ones to try.

So don't worry about buying the very best, latest, greatest etc., the first time. The 901 is a good performer, and inexpensive, with inexpensive spare parts available from the same seller. Try Heaven_Gifts on EBay. He ships from HK, so it'll be fast for you. Check it out, make sure it will work for you and your habits and situation. THEN think about upgrading.

A penstyle has advantages like longer battery and cartridge life. Also it looks less like a real cigarette, so you can be a little more subltle and discrete. Heaven_Gift has those, too, but I'm not sure of the quality. I think another member had problems with his, but I'm not sure I'm remembering where he got his correctly.

The ones at the link Xanthos provided is a good supplier. It might take a bit longer, but it'll be good when it gets there.

yay now we have me, xanthos, devilfish, hidoshi, and bunnyanime from singapore haha.... la kopi anyone??

btw i bought from e-cig.com, my 1st atomizer is still lasting me now... after almost a month, though i'm not a heavy user myself..... mine's a penstyle...

a lot of questions like e.g. how it taste, the kick e.t.c. you can't really get answers unless you try it for yourself.... just go with generics 1st..... cos they WILL eventually fail, be it 1 week or 3mths... after which if you feel e-smoking is really your cup of tea, den upgrade lor...

you can see my review here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...1283-my-e-cigarette-has-arrived-ecig-com.html

just order it.... you'll get your answers when your package comes...

Hi Leaford. I'd posted elsewhere about the poor quality products I received from Heaven Gifts, all nearly unusable - atomizers, cords, batteries... I sincerely wish to know: Have you actually received decent quality products from them? Which products?

I got a DSE101 with bad batteries, and had the choice of either shipping the bad ones back and waiting for him to receive them, or buying two new ones for $20. I later bought a couple spare parts, accessories, and a couple of the Ruyan Throwaway E-cigars. Trog recently got one of the Ruyan Titaniums, and I am waiting on one of those myself.

He's not my favorite, because of the distance, and his returns policy. But he's an honest seller, and does give service.
