The problem with the Crius is subpar quality control. Plenty of people, including me, have problems with leakage from between the afc and jfc. I've ordered the clone to see if it's better. Still, other than that it's such a great tank and so easy to use that I won't retire it.I think the one that has more in common with the Aromamizer is the UD Bellus, at least in terms of airflow. What I mean by that, they both have the airflow coming from the side instead of from underneath. The Bellus also comes with a plug that allows you to close up half of it (including the airflow) to build a single coil if you're so inclined.
The Crius looks good but I've read of some people having problems with it leaking. Not sure if it's their builds or if it just has more of a tendency to leak. That's the main reason I haven't ordered one yet. The one I'm most interested to adding to my collection atm is the Aromamizer.
Ah, some new and unfamiliar RTA names have arrived. Cheers all. I should say I am very reluctant to buy something that puts me back on the pre-built atty treadmill. I used to plow through 3 to 5 Boge cartos a day at my peak -- more when I was developing recipes -- but I suppose I have to at least try a pre-built atty tank. I see some folks are successfully rebuilding a lot of the prefabs so I'll have to spend more time studying the potential. There is some new stuff appearing using ceramics that looks very interesting, but I'll wait for more develoment and some thorough and long-term reviews before making that jump.
I've been hearing about the Subtank Mini for some time now and have added them to the growing list (including the nano) along with an Aromamomamaliniserator. I take it you all favour the "two post side tension applied design" seen here?

Can't wait to start hoarding those beauties! The Billow 2 was supposed to already be on wings to me, but they are sold out at my local purveyor. edit: I will also be buying a Zephyrus v-2 (put the dash in there to avoid the auto-link) That looks like a solid little tank atty.
Meantime I am having much greater success with my now rather old but still very serviceable Kayfuns, now that I am using cotton instead of Rayon. But I am indeed noticing that the v4 is rather persnickety in TC mode and it looks like it is the cause of all the new or used coil demands. I figure the spring is breaking contact each time I set it down and the Treebox thinks I swapped attys? But there is a bit more room on the v4 deck for the larger Ti coils I am building using both #24 and #26 wire, so I will keep using it and answering the damned question each time I have a toot. With the heavier wire and bulky cotton things are getting tight in the LP v2s, but not unreasonable. Extremely tightly spaced coils is making things a bit easier in that respect, but I have some wiggle room with the #26 and will have a go at spaced coils today. Mind you, I am getting fairly proficient with the Ti micro-coil building process and am amazed at how long these things keep on chuggin out the steam rich with flavour. With kanthal I have to rebuild after 24 hours or suffer a dirty and muted vape, not so with Ti and this nifty little Treebox. Making the leap to TC has very much been a fairly easy step thanks mostly to Ti wire. I tried Ni on an HCigar dna40 mod a year ago and hated everything about it, except the mod which isn't half-bad as a power-mode-only box.
My plan is to scoop a Wismec Reuleaux DNA200 in a couple weeks when my budget is a bit fatter, but just last night I ordered an RX200 and some batteries which should hold down the fort. I am thinking that triple-celled behemoth will feel like sucking farts out of a dead pigeon's backside, but I can use it at home with no witnesses except the wife and former sweetheart. I am really, really looking forward to getting a dna200 though. mmmmmmmmmmmmm... software... aaaaaaggggllllaaaaaahhhhhhhgggggg....
edit: And I really must say thanks again to BigEgo for the wick tip. That one step has greased the skids to near nirvana. I am actually creating clouds for the first time really, without a second coil nor having to spike my mix with extra VG. 70/30 in just about all my recipes is creating a thick overcast with scattered showers and heavy icing conditions at altitude. C'est merveilleux!
Funny you should mention that. I was wondering about it myself, but folks rave and rave. Figgered I need to seize one for myself anyway but concern appreciated regardless.TreeBox
The thing that has always put me off the Aromanticiser is that silly rubber airflow band, if they put a real airflow control ring on there they'd have sold 3 times as many....

And yes, I am deep into the ditch with this Treebox marvel. Uses batteries like a ... nah, I'd better not go there. And I continually have to tell it the coil has NOT been replaced, but it performs great. The variable TCR has proven to be invaluable. If it lasts a long time I will consider myself a Weiner.
As usual, it is most likely due to my blithering incompetence, but I get asked about the coil almost every time I pick it up. I am waiting on delivery of a couple new RTAs and am hoping the demands might ease with their arrival. At first I thought it might be the spring in the Kayfun v4, but the demands continue if I use either an HC Kayfun v-2 clone — or even two separate and genuine Kayfun lite plus v-2s — but they are all very, very well used and the 510 threading may be worn/dirty and breaking the circuit. None of them screw fully down to the device's 510 "plate" and seat instead on the wood, much to my horror, so I am trying not to grind it away by tightening too much. I have noticed ze qvestion does not appear nearly as much if I cinch the atty down tighter and can then vape for hours and not get asked the blasted question once, but that is the exception which clearly leads to ruination. The TreeBox does get through batteries lol. Are you getting the new coil without removing the tank? because that would be weird as i have never seen that since owning one, i only get that if i put a completely new tank/build on. This is the most stable mod i have (okay had till i got the SX Mini). Variable TCR is a def winner.
Hey StyleMessiah, I think I just solved the "question"The TreeBox does get through batteries lol. Hey StyleMessiah, I think I just solved the "question"questionissue. I polished and thinned a copper washer and slipped it in betwixt the atty base and the 510 plate and now I can tighten it down better without contacting the wood. No more interrogation!
I have one coming, hopefully this week that should also have some batteries and an rx200 along for the ride — as well as a slew of other RTAs from very exotic locations but on much slower mule-trains. I will update this as they arrive, I hope. (Time permitting) My work is kinda unpredictable and I might disappear again for months if I have to leave, as is frequently the case. But I will update this by hook or by crook. I pledge my shoddy reputation on in.i have to throw in for the Kanger Subtank mini as well, never fails to satisfy
I already gave a full and explicit confession the other day while under extreme torture. I'm afraid I am a marked man now... But I did lay my V-2 Provari to rest in a loving and most dignified manner, befitting the special device it was. I will repeat it here too: It only saved my life. Seriously, it will always occupy a special place in my now healthy heart.Do not let the Provarinati (Provarinazis?) hear you talking about the TB being your main squeeze over the Provari.....you'll get excommunicated from the cult![]()
And here i was thinking that trying to leave the Provarinazi's was like trying to leave Scientology...im surprised youre still above ground. Are you going to write a tell all about life inside the cult? I bet you never spend a second night in the same house....life must be hell for you!I already gave a full and explicit confession the other day while under extreme torture. The Bellus is great as well.
