Mine (HSRT) worked /works OK out of the box ...no mods & 100% VG juice
just had to start w/ego (low voltage ) & dripped a lot of juice into the top (to saturate wick) & a few more drops every time I got a dry hit ...after a few rounds of this it started wicking by itself ....works good now.

im glad to hear that the dry hit thing sort of "fixes itself". the review i saw on that tank highly stressed the dry hit problem. the other problem the video stressed was that there is zero airflow when used with a provari. provari is my PV of choice, so im wondering if this problem has been addressed.

I've drilled the wick holes out on mine and run a setup with 5 1mm silica wicks and 1.6 ohm 32ga nichrome 80 wrap, don't remember how many coils it was and haven't had any wicking issues with bobas bounty
