Hi

After having looked around here for quite a while, I decided to join so I hopefully can get all my questions answered.I am looking for help in finding a setup that will suit my needs.

here are the facts:

I am not nor have I ever been a smoker or tobacco addict as such my setup does not have to be some modded turbocharged nicotine IV.

The setup will likely see once or twice a week use, like smoking a cigar after dinner.I am not wanting to refill anything so it must accept locally sourced commercially available cartridges ie: blu

It must be available from a big store Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc etc

I'd prefer if it resembled more of a cigarette and less of a crackpipe

It must actually work, so according to this site, not a Blu.

Any info you awesome people can provide is most welcome.

p.s. I have heard good things about the Wal-Mart Fin kit, and that it performs well with Blu cartridges but want confirmation.

I've liked the njoy just fine. Very realistic and available everywhere. You will not get a long battery life and at $8.00 a pop, a two hour vape for me, a bit expensive. I do the big supercharged stuff though 99% of the time, and I'm super happy with my vape. Others will come with way more cigalike experience than me, though. Good luck to you. You should not use nicotine, imho, if you never smoked, or at most a very low nic level like 6 mg/ml, as nicotine is highly addictive. Welcome to the Forum.

You want to go to a retail store to purchase?

Is there a local Vape shop that can help you. Most metro areas have one now days, not like the mail order hope this works days when I started on this mess. They would be able to steer you in the right direction. A standard joytech kit sounds like it would be best for you as it is small, simple to use and would require little filling time.

I would second Bill's recommendation of NJoy. It is a superior product to the Blu, easy to find, and fits your requirements.

You should not make drug references on this site. My ProVari does NOT look like a (device you referenced).

"Never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes."

OK, so here's my best shot. You say you are not a smoker, that's good.
You say you have the odd cigar, that's probably not ideal, but hey...

So, you want something to puff on in social situations.

I think the same things apply in most cases. You can buy a small device that looks like a cigarette. IF you only use it infrequently, it doesn't really matter what you buy. If you use it regularly, it will work out frustrating and horribly expensive.

Maybe the best starting point is to buy a simple rechargeable battery + refills kit.

Having looked at the Wall Mart one, it looks truly appalling. Comments such a "blu aren't good" are kind of irrelevant to your situation. Blu and others like them aren't good for people looking to replace (100%) their smoking with vaping. Because, as cool and "fun" as they are, you need to vape a certain amount of liquid a day to YIELD enough nicotine...meaning lots of refills and lots of expensive cartomisers (refills)

You don't have this issue. You can buy almost anything. Volt, Halo, Blu, anything!!

I wouldn't recommend any of these to a smoker looking to quit smoking.

Enjoy!

PS, I use a turbo charged nicotine delivering device. It might look shocking, but it provides enough nicotine to replace my 20mg a day habit.

Doing that with blus or NJOYs or x/y/z/ would be incredibly expensive and not very satisfying. People often wonder why (??) I use such a thing, when they are puffing on their supermarket e-cig. The point is, I use mine to vape 100%. I don't go back to my Marlboros as soon as I leave the office or step outside for lunch... and my device last 3 days, which is better than having a stream of white plastic sticks charging on my USB ports. :)

I quite like mini e-cigs, but for most, they are a waste of time and an even bigger waste of money.
