Hello to all. First, let me say how sorry I am that you have been caught up into such a shady deal.

I stumbled across this thread last week. I took the time to read the entire thread. I could not believe what was going on here.

After a few days of 'stewing' about this I became more irritated the more I thought about it.

I have a VERY good friend who works for an org. that might be able to help all of you. If not directly, at least steer all of you in the right path so that you get the restitution you deserve.

I called him Sunday 12/09/2012. I was telling him about the situation and asking if there was anything that could be done to help you. He stopped me, told me "this was apparently a non-personal call." He told me "to call him at his office on Monday 12/10/2012 so that everything could rightfully be documented on a professional level. Should this be pursued, we needed to keep it all documented correctly so there are no snags."

I called him at his office on Monday 12/10/2012. I told him what I had read here on this thread and ask him if he knew of anywhere I could send all of you to get help with the situation. He ask me "to link him to this thread" so I emailed him the link.

He called me on Friday 12/14/2012 and ask me, being that I am a member here, "to see if I could gather some details for him." He said "after reading this, doing some preliminary investigations and research etc, he thought his org. might be able to help all of you." Until he gets more info, he was "uncertain or not if his org. would be the place for all of you to get the help you all deserve." He said "if his org. could not help with this matter that he could direct all of you to where you need to go and who to speak with."

SOOOO.. if any of you are interested in HOPEFULLY getting some resolution to this, please pm me.

I only wish I would have come across this thread sooner. This needs to get moving forward before your "Statutes of Limitation run out." The SOL's are of difference variances. It is based upon the "situation and the crime committed."

He offered no guarantees, but at least MAYBE something can be done to get back the devices YOU RIGHTFULLY OWN....

Once again, I am very sorry for what all of you have been through here. I can ONLY imagine the stress, but more importantly, how betrayed you must feel. Hopefully my friend can help all of you.

I have NEVER gotten involved in any situation on this forum that I was not rightfully a part of. However, I feel as if the people on this forum are my family. It certainly has saved my life due to the fact that I no longer smoke analogs. My ECF Family has helped me sooooo much the last 3 years, I guess it is my turn to pay it forward and return the help if I can.

Please ONLY pm me if you sent a device and paid the fees for service. If you sent a device and have received it back, but feel you might have some contribution to add in order to help your fellow ecf buddies/buddets hehe get their devices back, please pm me.

If some/all of you are already pursuing another avenue to get back your belongings, please disregard this message.

I have no idea if anything can be done here to help all of you, but why not at least try...........................

That's awesome, hopefully it'll help. He starts jumping at the first sign of legal trouble so this would definitely help.

I hope my friend can help all of the folks here too.

I think his opportunity of 'jumping at the first sign of legal trouble" days are over.

If he was genuine about getting these folks devices back, he would have gotten them to everyone by now. He has had "Plenty" of time to finish this work that he was paid to do. I do not think he will be trusted to return these devices on his own free will. Sadly, it is apparent legal action is the only way these devices will be returned to the owners.

Well, hello there dear friend. Thank you for such kind words. I dont't know about earning "those wings" though. You are too kind. I hope everything is vaping right along in your world.

I just need to drop in and clarify some things here.

In some of the Pm's I am getting, you have a MOD/Device involved in this issue, but do not feel your MOD/Device is worth enough value to even think you could get restitution here.

It does not matter if your MOD/Device cost $5 or $500. The action taken will be for all of you in one 'Lot.' Once an appr. tally is made as to how much $$$$ this guy has held....captive, if you will, the total figure will be the final figure. Not how much only your device is worth. It is my understanding this will be a group claim, not individual claims.

Also, if your MOD/Device is no longer in production and is unable to be easily obtained, the value of your MOD/Device will increase. So yes, please inform me if your MOD/Device is out of production or is difficult to obtain/replace.

I hope this clears up all the answers some of you were seeking. Please Pm me with any further questions and I will do my best to get answers for you as quickly as I can.

An excellent point has been brought to my attention.

Many of the people who once posted here and on the 'other' thread complaining that they had not received their belongings back, have not been posting recently. It is possible they have received their MOD/Device, but it is more than likely the simple fact that they just gave up on the matter.

If any of you know any of the people who have posted here or elsewhere that have not received their property back, could you please ask them to check in on this thread. If they no longer frequent here, they more-than-likely do not know possible help is near.

Hi Gang,
Any who have been following this know I have several devices, and cash, involved. When Chopper first started offering this service, I reached out asking him to do some powder coating for me. I did not know him and still have never met him - other than a few skype visits and hangouts.

I do know what happened to him back when this started to fall apart - he told me. But, that is his personal life and it has nothing to do with vaping or this service. While it was VERY traumatic to his personal life (and his entire family), and certainly justified at least a month or two - perhaps even three, I was disappointed when things dragged out longer. I told him so via SMS several times. If you have read this and/or the other thread, you saw my posts.

Obviously, I have been frustrated too. It has been approx 9 months since I sent my cash and devices. From the little interaction I have had with Chopper, I knew he was not in this for money. His prices were at best break-even and I told him this back then too. He just knew he had skills and wanted to share them with other vapers. Overall, he was very well intentioned. When his personal life fell apart, well - it fell apart, and in a BIG way. I make no excuses for Chopper. We all know this has not been handled well and he knows it too. His knowing it does not make it right and he has promised to make all this "right" before - a few devices DID get done and returned to the respective owners. This time it may actually happen full scale but I just do not know. For what its worth, I truly believe he has never had any bad intent. BUT, that is merely MY personal belief - I do not know him any more than indicated herein and cannot further vouch.

Today, I received an email from Chopper - first contact (other than 2 or 3 SMS messages) since his entire personal life was hit by a metaphorical tornado.

So, before you read his email - let's clarify some things relative to me and THIS post.
1) I have never met Chopper in person and do not know him beyond this above description.
2) I know we have seen stuff like this before - I am NOT otherwise involved and will not get involved. So please leave me out of this.
3) I am posting because I feel sympathy for all who are involved. I heard from Chopper so I am sharing THAT email with all of you - nothing more.
4) I am not defending Chopper. I am not making any representations of any kind. I am merely sharing what I received.
5) This is frustrating for ALL of us - including Chopper - and we all (including Chopper) want this all done and over.
6) Please, DO NOT ask me ANY questions because I HAVE NO ANSWERS. I will not become a messenger, and WILL NOT get any further involved, in any way.
7) I am NOT making ANY suggestions, of any kind, regarding what happens from here on forward - I am ONLY sharing the one email.
8) Whatever you choose to do, or not do, is your choice and decision. I will say only this much: I will not participate in any action (collective or otherwise). Think what you wish; I do trust Copper has always meant well, still means well (even if the evidence appears to the contrary) and I trust that I will not lose my money and/or devices (both considerable).
9) Because of ALL the above, this will be my last post in this thread - I am very hesitant to make even this post. But, I am the person Chopper contacted - so I am sharing his email and then I'm out.
10) I have said this before and will say it again this one last time: I genuinely believe that if you are not involved (Angel Wings, I have to exclude you from this comment because your participation IS presented positively, constructively and with helpful intent) - please consider leaving this alone and just stay out of it. There are many who are not involved and somehow seem to think their posted opinions are contributing; they are not. Such posts are only making things worse, stirring the pot, exasperating the drama and further raising the ire and frustrations of those who do have a personal stake in this. We ARE a community and in most threads and discussions, everyone's input is usually welcomed and contributes - even if negative, judgmental and/or stirs-the-pot. In this particular case, uninvolved comments/posts are really no more than "arm-chair quaterbacking". Please, save it for the games on TV and/or other threads. Such posts are NOT helping or contributing to this issue, they only make things worse. The one thing we, as a community, do not need is further divisiveness and/or confrontation. We all have opinions, sense of entitlements and/or ideas of right and wrong. I just think that this particular issue is not the place for any who do not have a personal involvement. If this has any chance of positive resolution - uninvolved pot-stir posts can only dramatically reduce the chances and actually CAN make this already bad situation MUCH worse.

Any of you who do know me know that I care deeply about vaping and this community. I make this entire post because I DO care and merely want to share what little info I just received.

With that all said, here is what I received from Chopper. I wish you all Happy Holidays. I am going to give Chopper the chance to still make this right - that may be difficult for some of you to understand. I just still believe the guy meant well (and still does) - even if his actions, or lack thereof, seem contradictory.

i have been trying to post responses on ecf and i am not allowed to post anymore for some reason. but i am trying to get the work done for the poeple that have been waiting so long and i do have all the devices here in my small shop. with the holidays it will take a little longer to get time to work on them but my goal is to have them all done by the 2nd week of jan. i know its been way too long but thats the best i can do at this point to make things right. if i send them back not done then it was all for nothing. i did send an email addy for everyone to respond and verify if i have their devices and only received a few emails. if you can please post for me since i havent been able to post since my last post, the email is chopperguys@hotmail.com i will return all the mods. they have not been sold or anything else done with them. i just havent been able to get them done. i do apologize for this mess and will make it right in the end. thanks lou you have been one of my biggest supporters and allways there thru this tough time i have had.

Hi sneakerhoarder, thanks for the bump BUT most importantly, thank you for starting this thread. I am very sorry for all that you and the other people involved have been through here.

This has not 'died' down at all. I am beginging to get emails from a lot of people. Thanks to all of you who are passing along my email address. This is rolling right along in a very positive direction.

Although alot of people are getting my email, I feel i must urge you to also contact Chopper. He has now, apparently, reached out once again. EricHill78 made the comment that "He starts jumping at the first sign of legal trouble." Saddly, this must be the case.

I URGE all of you to contact chopper at the email address NebulaBrot posted. It would be a much better outcome for chopper should each of you reach an agreement that satisfies you. However, do not think that you are being abandoned here. The process continues forward no matter if you contact chopper or not. The process will continue to move forward until each and every one of you recieve YOUR belongings back. So if you contact chopper, please do not feel you will be brushed aside here. You will not. I just urge you to let chopper, for the LAST AND FINAL TIME, make this right. Just remember, chopper is no longer the only one who can fix this problem. You do have help, if need be.

Thank you NebulaBrot for your kind words. You are correct. It was not my intent to 'stir the pot' and cause problems here. I did whole heartedly want to help these people because they have been wronged. Thankfully my actions did come across "positively, constructively and with helpful intent."

This will be the last post here. Everything from this point forward will be handled via my email. The reasoning for this is, it is felt that chopper frequents this thread to see what is going on. Due to this issue, there is a concern that chopper will know the status of this process.

I have been asked to post this as my last communication on this thread so that chopper is unable to follow updates on the process. Just because this thread is quiet, does not mean things are not going on in the background in order to get all of you a possitive outcome on this situation.

Once again, I ENCOURAGE all of you to contact chopper and give him one final attempt to correct this wrong. Those of you who have been apparently sharing my email with those involved..thank you. However, I ask that you also share chopper's email with the same people you shared my email with. Please urge them to contact chopper as well.

As stated, just because chopper has come forward and given a date of "by the 2nd week of jan," this by no means stops this process. It is full steam ahead and will remain that way until EVERYONE has their belongings back. Please feel free to share my email address with anyone that chopper has their belongings but please include choppers email address as well.

as someone who is interested in becoming a vendor here, but not for pv's or modding them it pains me to see threads like this and the Jbox stuff. I would honestly have zero problems giving someone my phone number if im doing something custom for them. Custom work takes time and customers sometimes change their minds etc...

i do hope you guys get your stuff back. but yes calling local law enforcement may be your best option. though in cases where the transaction occurred over the internet and products and money cross state lines the issue very rapidly approaches federal jurisdiction. If the local guys cant help you the postal service inspectors or perhaps the FBI can direct you where to seek assistance. I know for a fact the FBI has thousands of agents tasked for nothing but internet fraud and cyber crimes.
