Sounds like a nice idea, not sure what would need to be done first, the engraving or powdercoating... but maybe I can help a little with the gallery thing you're talking about...

I'm not sure if it's the pic but, it looks blue to me. Also, I thought it was transparent to where the polished finish would still show up.

Probably speaking to early since it doesn't seem to be the finished product. Just thought I would ask.
