I gave up cigs (3pks/day for 20 yrs) about 15 years ago with the "patch" (hardest thing I've ever done). Took up cigars about 10 years ago, and although I don't inhale them, I am totally addicted to the quite time I spend with several stoogies a day.

Decided to try vaping about 3 weeks ago and began with an RN4062. Went through 3 of them in a week. Got a total refund from myPVshop.com, who discontinued carrying them because of quality problems from the factory. Just received a Cohita E600 e-cigar kit from ePuffer, and after a week am generally pleased with it. Only complaint is it requires a priming puff or two to get the quantity of vapor I like (a lot). Other than that no complaints so far. I truly enjoy vaping every bit as much as the real thing.

Not sure what the longevity may be and wondering if anyone else has any experience with this e-cigar. Since it costs $120 with shipping for 2 batts and 5 cartos, I would be satisfied if I got 6 months out of it. After all, that's only about 2 weeks of analog stoogies. :)

Hey and welcome! I don't have any experience with e-cigars, or even much with e-cigs, but I do enjoy pipes and cigars...

I looked at the Cohita, and what I don't like about it is the relative lack of information, the fact it doesn't follow one of the standards that good vaporizers do, to allow you to get what you want from a vendor of your choice. While you are waiting on an answer from someone who has tried it, I'd suggest you take a look at the LEO, Go-Go, or IGO. They are large battery, large capacity vaporizers that don't look as much like cigars, but follow the same form factor.

With one of those you will spend less, have many more options for flavors, etc... and get better performance.

I spent a lot of time on the LEO thread and decided to buy one. It's a great device with lots of vapor. However, I haven't decided if its the answer for me just yet. Something about the push button doesn't give me the "cigar experience". It's more of a draw-and-be-done-with-it, rather than the puff-puff-puff, savor-savor-savor of a cigar. Not surprising since its designed for cig smokers. One thing I don't want to do is re-awaken my cig habit.

I can't imagine you need to worry about your cig habit again. Cigs are about the nastiest, worst way to get nicotine imaginable. They are formulated in such a way as to make it necessary to inhale their smoke to get the nicotine. This is because of the PH of tobacco smoke being alkaline, and cigs are 30% by weight high fructose corn syrup to bring the PH up to a level a person can tolerate inhaling at... but that high PH turns all the nicotine into nicotine salts that are too large to be absorbed through the mouth... only through the lungs. Thanks big tobacco!

If you aren't inhaling cigars, I don't think you'd ever be able to stomach the taste of a cigarette, or enjoy inhaling it... Its like a punch in the lungs and leaves a disgusting chemical taste in your mouth. Pointless.

I can't find much on e-cigars, but what I did find seemed to point to them being a bit less reliable than the e-cigarette versions. Batteries, atomizers, and cartridges all wear out so I really doubt you'll get 6 months out of your kit, or out of any kit. I think its better to standardize your equipment off of non-proprietary stuff.

Li-ion batteries have to be of a decent size to get multiple charge cycles out of them... and the energy used by an atomizer is really pretty high.

If you don't like the button (and I don't either) then you have limited options in the world of common e-cigs... I use a KR808d-1 XL automatic battery and I puff on that the same way I would a cigar. Its not the best option and its relatively small.

There is an EGO big battery automatic I found at https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-ego-all.htm and it only comes in white for the auto version.

Greenworld makes a G400 automatic. Its the right size, and auto. GreenCig G400 Starter Kit
has a good price for the starter kit. Its black.
