I was a cigar smoker myself, but prefer cirtus flavors over tobacco flavors when it comes to vaping. Try some quality tobacco flavors, but also some flavors of items he enjoys. He may prefer those more. Personally, I used a eGo with RBA until it died and I bought a mechanical. Some mechanicals can be had in the classifieds for real cheap, and I prefer the ease of use. Long vaping with no tinkering, like cigar smoking.

I used to have a cigar habit. $7 is pretty decent. My brand was around $14. I do treat myself to a cuban whenever I go to Mexico

I was never a smoker, but a cigar and pipe smoker as well as a hookah smoker. My PV eliminated the need for any of that. Pipe wasn't too expensive, but cigars were.

Last time I was in Cancun, I wanted a cuban to go with my Cognac. It was 1 for 10USD or 5 for 20USD. So I grabbed 5. Smoked 3 while there, and accidentally carried 2 in my backpack back to the US. I didn't realize I had them until we stood in line for customs. And when we got to the front and the Agent asked if we were carrying anything that needed to be declared. I apologized and said I think I have 2 cubans from Mexico that I left in my backpack from our travels in Mexico, and I would be more than happy to unpack it and throw them away. He looked at me and said we were good to go since we were had nothing to declare and winked.

Thankfully, I quit cigarettes (cold turkey) back in September of 2005, but in the summer of 2010 my habit resurfaced in the form of cigars and pipes exclusively. Though I habitually smoked cigarillos at about a buck apiece, my humidor was stocked with some others (like the Trinidad) that cost as much as $48 each. The habit was crazy expensive, and whether inhaled or not, cigars and pipes make esophageal cancer (and other serious problems) a very real risk.

Now that I'm vaping, I've sold my humidor and given away all my tobacco which can't be attributed to my love of any one juice. I agree with chrisrook - there's no telling what might lure him away from cigars, as long as he's willing to give it a chance. Your best approach might be to try many different flavours yourself, and gently encourage him to try each juice you use every once in a while until you get his eyebrows to pop up in surprised delight.

You got a good customs agent then!

And Duane, I know all about the likelihood of cancer from them. Having a family of smokers, you see stuff. My dad was a dipper, than a smoker, than a cigar smoker, then he met my mom and became a dipper again. He has "quit" maybe 7 times in his life, and now only smokes cigars (or dips in private, which I have caught him doing). We still worry since my family has a high cancer rate, and even though mouth cancer isn't bloodline related, he does put a lot of bad things in his mouth. I haven't had the chance to offer him e-cigs since my mom thinks I quit all nicotine related items a few years back. I do enjoy a nice cigar while on a cruise, but I noticed that they are getting too hot for me.

Keep trying to find what helps your husband, and don't be too upset if he doesn't jump onto the bandwagon and still smokes his cigars from time to time.
