Hi All!

Apparently I posted here once a long time ago... probably when I bought the original GreenSmoke years ago (which I ended up losing)...

Anyway, I recently bought a new GreenSmoke kit. Two batteries (one long and one short) and some cartridges. I like the form factor. Amount of vapor seemed okay until I walked into the local shop and tried an Ego Twist with Kanger mouthpiece (clearomizer? Is that what it's called?). Blueberry Lime was my favorite and I walked out with the whole shebang... and started researching.

However, I find the size of the eGo and the whole thing, for me, when I'm on the go a lot, a bit ridiculous. At home it's fine, and my husband uses it too, but the style of the GreenSmoke makes me much happier when I'm on the go... and if I'm honest, I really like a system that feels like a cigarette. I just ordered blank cartomizers today and am hoping to try some of the great juice in them... But I'm now also looking at the eRoll.

Can anyone answer a few questions for me though?

Do the new kits come with the second atomizer and cover for a complete 2nd vaporizer? I read the original kits did not...

How many drags can you get off of one tank on the eRoll? The idea of carrying around a lot of extra stuff is a turn-off. I've been vaping on the same cartomizer for 2 days now, and on the same battery all day today with the GreenSmoke. I like the GS carry case with the 2 batteries and two cartridges, though I haven't needed a second of either all day today.

I was a 2-pack, 40-cigarette a day cigarette smoker, but I've only had four of them today. Hurray me!

Do you think it's better for me to try the blank cartomizers on the GreenSmoke or give the eRoll a try? I need experienced vapors to chime in... (I would have asked in the eRoll thread, but since I'm new, the forum wouldn't let me).

Thanks all... open to other suggestions too, but just keep in mind I really want a cigarette-size/style...

The box where the eRoll is inside, is the charger box also for on the go ;)

I like the eRoll but the atomizers are expensive, I took something like the GreenSmoke also for on the go, now I have this for on the go, the performance is way much more better, but its still a bit more huge then something like a GreenSmoke, however it fits perfectly into my pocket shirt...

Thanks Pink... very interesting setup you have. However, if I'm sitting at a clients house doing photography and I pull this out, I think a good number of them will think I'm smoking a crack pipe. I need something much more cigarette-like.

I'm enjoying the blueberry ejuice I put into my GreenSmoke setup very much... a little more vapor and it tastes so much better. I called GS today and though they wouldn't refund me for the flavors I didn't like, they did give me a coupon for a couple of free packs. I'll get the vanillas and when they are spent, will refill with juice of my choice. I'm anxious to get the blank cartomizers to try out too. I also told them that they should tell a PCC and blank cartridges themselves.

I'm still on the fence about the eRoll. I saw Rocky Mountain vapors has the whole setup, including the case that allows for the 2nd "cigarette". I'd like a little more vapor than the GS provides (though it's pretty darn good), but the setup I have is so convenient. The two batteries are easily lasting me the day, and the case allows for two additional cartomizers, so I should have no problems with running out in the middle of a day. Biggest downside will be expense in buying blanks and juice... but it will be cheaper than buying the standard GS cartomizers.

Biggest issue I have right now is the ejuice I bought is definitely drying my throat out more than the stuff that the standard GS cartomizers uses. I'm trying to drink a lot of water, but it doesn't help much. I'm not sure what mix GS uses, but obviously my local shop sells juice with a higher PG mix. I'm going to give my body more time to adjust and see what happens.

Gosh, I had to take the SS anodized caps for the tank in case of I left it to someone on the table, don't must think about someone will think it a crack pipe and gonna put a cigarette lighter under the tank 8-o

Did you knew about the carto's can be cleaned and to use them over and over again?

About the e-juice, I really like the DIY stuff, I mixed for my carto's 85% VG with 15% demi water and some drops flavor concentrate, it produces very well clouds, for a little throat hit, you can add 15% PG instead of demi water. Steep it for at least 10 days and its ready for to fill the carto's.

I think its a good idea you took the refillable carto's for the GS and look how it goes, its way less money then to buy the eRoll, not even to mentioned the atomizers they need. I love the eRoll of its size and its a tank what gives that very clean flavor taste, but the atomizers prevented me from to buy it.
If you do 2 days with a carto, the eRoll do hold way less e-juice then the GS... maybe 1 day with the eRoll I should say.

Hi smokin rabbit, I had an eroll, it had a nice form factor but it was messy and inconvenient to refill and expensive.

I agree with pink panter that the way to go is to refill your cartos with your greensmoke. If you want the cigarette like experience which I sometimes miss and end up buying an njoy on those rare occasions, I think the greensmoke is perfect.

I like the eRoll but the atomizers are expensive

My atties have lasted well over a month each one.

That's not expensive at all. I have one going on 4 months. Try getting that on a Kanger. :)

If you go to the eroll topic, now at 84 pages long, there are lots of tips and tricks.

If you WANT a cig a like, you can't get more "professional/elegant" than an eroll kit with the nice PCC charging case. I would take this to a wedding, etc. whereas I would leave just about everything else I own at home, it's all too big and ostentatious looking.

I think I know what the OP means, you might also want to try the Halo kit.

There's 2 eroll kits up now in the classies, dirt cheap, and a Halo kit in irridenscense as well I believe. A lot of people like that Halo G6 or Halo Triton (bigger) from what I see and read. GL!

IF you get the eroll, get a little bit higher nic than you usually vape, and some higher PG for flavor. SMall ecigs need a little boost sometimes. :) I vape unflavored in mine though, probably why my atties last so long, sometimes a few drops of ethol maltol (cotton candy flavoring) to make it fun.

Yes, the eroll tanks only hold 0.5ml.......I fill up about 5-10 in the morning. So all I have to do is switch them out, takes 1 second.

At night I just put in a bowl of warm water, they are clean for next day.

Might I suggest the Kanger eSmart 510? I Believe that it is slightly bigger than a cigalike (which has the benefit of having a larger battery, but a smaller than an ego), it has a 510 connection (you can use a variety of cartomizers), and there is also an esmart clearomizer.

Edited to add: it looks like the Kanger EMUS is the newest iteration of the eSmart. Looks like a slick little kit.

So how does one refill the Greensmoke cartos?? I started a month ago with their free trial starter kit (only $1 and one battery, but 11 carts so it was a steal)..
I havent touched it since the day I got my Evod, but if I can refill those that would rule. Ive got a whole bunch of empty cartos sitting on my desk and that GS cig would come in handy for a backup or when I need to take it somewhere the Evod is too big..

Hello Racehorse,

Ofc there will be some tricks, the baker soda will be one of that.
Not that long ago, Ive noticed FT do have the atomizers as well, 5 for $5.50.
There are a lot atomizers for to rebuild if take the time for, Ive hold an eRoll atomizer in my hand, but this is too small for my fingers to fix

The Halo G6 for sure is a good product, but I dont know if it will be that much better then a GS, to lurk longer then 5 sec from a Halo it will turn off, but that can be fixed with just taking a few short lurks.

Thx for you post btw, bc I think the eRoll is a very well product and its good to hear also positive stories about.

Thanks for the feedback everyone... I'll try to answers all that I can...

I did look at the 510 today, and it seemed okay. I wish my local store had them so I could see it in person and try it. Unfortunately, what they have in the shop is pretty limited.

Refilling the Greensmoke cartos... I looked on YouTube and found how to do it. It's pretty easy. I use a tiny allen key tool to open the white plastic cap, and just drop the fluid around on the cotton (not in the center hole). About 15-20 drops and you're good to go.

Ironically, I got the blank GS compatible cartomizers over the weekend. They seem to work okay, but they pool / leak a little bit... more than the used GS cartomizers. They don't have that extra plastic "washer" in them like the GS cartos do, so maybe that's why. I'll have to see if they fit in the blanks.

I did break down and buy an eRoll today. I bought from Rocky Mountain Vapors because their 20% off code still works, plus they send you a COMPLETE second "cigarette" (2 of everything)... plus I got the carry case ($9) that adds room for the 2nd cigarette to be stored. I ended up buying it because I just felt I couldn't get a good drag off the GreenSmoke consistently.

I've got all kinds of vapor sitting here to be tried out... so far, watermelon and blueberry lemon (tastes like blueberry pie) are my favorites. Luckily, my local shop carries all kinds of flavors in a 50/50 mix. My husband is digging the watermelon also on his eGo Twist / Kanger combo.

I did see a setup on YouTube I thought was pretty darn nice... the guy was using an eGo Twist, the shorter battery, with blank black cartomizers he'd fill himself. That is something I might considered taking out of the house. But I'm going to give the eRoll a shot first.

Cool thanks for the info. Ill have to look that up when I get off work hehe.. Maybe I can put those things to use since theyre just taking up space on top of one of my drum machines on my mixing desk right now haha..

I hear ya on the consistency of em though.. Mine were just fine when they were new but towards the end of the day they seemed to just vape less and less, but when Id wake up the next day, they would be back on top again.. I usually got like 2-3 days out of mine but for all I know it was my first e-cig so I was more then likely just vaping the cotton in there haha. Mine were all tobacco flavors too so couldnt really judge em by that..

Congrats with the eRoll first, I think its a nice buy also.

About the GS carto refilling, they use a different ratio PG/VG for. E-juices are normally 30/70, while a carto needs 40/60 or even 50/50 ratios.

Yeah, the juice I'm buying locally is a 50/50 mix. It's actually fine as long as I'm vaping a lot, but if I let the GS e-cig just sit for a bit, that's when I get the leaking/pooling. Maybe it's a common problem? Dunno. I did notice it even happens occasionally with the eGo Twist/Kanger (that you get juice in your mouth).
