I went to a local bar last night to play pool and drink a few with friends and there was a sign on the door that confused me, it said "no e-cigarettes". I walked in and there were ashtrays on most of the tables and people smoking so this only added to the confusion.
After getting a beer I asked the bartender what the deal with it was, she said that someone had something that sometimes grows in closets in one that isn't supposed to be in there (can't say what it was because of the forum rules) and the guy that had it was talking about how to make it work but didn't notice that he was right next to the owner of the bar while he was doing it.
This only added to my confusion because it would be a whole lot easier and less conspicuous to lace a tobacco cigarette with something that isn't supposed to be in there than an e-cig.
I probably won't be going back to that place because the ban is ......ed.

Has anyone else run into a situation where cigarettes are allowed but not e-cigs?

Why didn't they just post a sign saying "No illegal drugs allowed"? Otherwise, throwing out baby with bathwater. (This is one case where maybe you should use a cigalike, because as the ANTZ have told us, no one can tell the difference between a cigalike and a real cigarette...)

In answer to your question, no. This is a first.

I use eGo-c B types when I'm away from the house because they are reliable so cigalikes are out for me.
The owner really is dumb though because I can think of a few ways around what he is trying to prevent with that rule, the number one way is to go outside, do what I want to do without trying to conceal it in a crowd then come back in.
