So last night I plugged in my PT eGo 650, which has been working amazing (since I got it at the beginning of Feb). Left it to charge, and 30 minutes later it was burning hot. I pulled it out of the usb port and had to hold it in a napkin to put it on the counter. I knew it was dead, but I wanted to give it a chance, so I let it cool down for 10 minutes, pushed the button and saw that it was truly dead.
Fortunately, I have 2 spare eGo batts. So it wasn't too tragic.
Today, I checked cignot (where I got it from) to see if they had a warranty. It did: 60 days. Since I got it at the beginning of February, the PT was covered. I shot them a message, and within 35 minutes, they shipped me a new one.
Amazing customer service, with an amazing warranty on their products.
Thanks cignot.
