Cisco attys and REO issue?

Most of you know I been using Cisco's attys for a long time but haven't been to the website in quite awhile. But Frank has a option for customers to TICK if being purchased for use on a REO because of recent threading issues....?
Like I said I had no need to order for quite a while cause I was set but this is the time I have heard of this

duno bout the issues but i ordered a cisco attie there and i did indeed check that box. they fit on my reo jus fine. no idea how or if theyll fit any other pvs though

Yeah, I sent back 4 306's from the last batch. They didn't fit. I sent them back two weeks ago and don't have replacements yet.

Nope. They added that right after I ordered. My order was 5/10

Figures huh....well I made sure to tick the box so we will see whats up. I should send Frank a email asking why and what changed.

The threading even looks different. Isaac is having a similar problem. I suspect they are both using the same provider.

Probably just an inconsistency from the supplier...

Cisco 1.5 306s have always fit my 510 stuff... not sure whats going on, but good to know since this will probably be my primary 3.7v atty on the Grand.

Yeah, if I didn't LOVE them, I'd be on to a different atty

My old Ciscos are fitting my mini just fine.

The 1.8 Ohm LR 306s did not seem to like my Southpaw Masterwork, but since that mod decided to leak on me, I have shelved it for the time being. The 1.5 Ohm Cisco 306's work on everything I have tried them on, 7-8 devices.

At least the two main suppliers outside of china are addressing the issue. Isaac had to delay shipments just so he could test each additional one. My last batch of Ikens was held up a couple of days and he emailed me saying he was testing them before mailing.

That's pretty stand up.



Of course that isn't stopping some folks from being whine-bags, but what can you do? Do it right, not fast.

Don't feel bad about that man....Cisco didn't respond to my email either, so I know your pain.

I sent an email about my atties not fitting on my wood mod to see if it was a regular issue.

It's why I went to Isaac for my next batch, and I got a message back within a few hours.

I'd be pretty ticked off actually. You should never go 2 weeks without word of the progress from a supplier.

Had I sent something in for a return, yeah, I'd be chomping at the bit too for a word.

I was referring to the folks complaining about items taking 2-3 days longer to ship (the threads on that posted are kinda sad)

It very well could be the attys are defective.
There are tollerances on the threads and if they are oversized (fit the no-go gauge) they are bad.

Rob has the connector made and it seems to have much tighter tolerances than most other 510 connectors

If the attys are in spec they would fit the REO

That said, to get something in spec from China can be almost impossible sometimes.
I don't blame IKV or Cisco, and they seem to be doing all they can to remedy the situation.

I do remember mention it somewhere else but I bought those attys with a one year warranty and the 510 threads were to long so no contact was made. I haven't had trouble with Cisco messages getting back to me but its always late at night. Almost as if he had a 2nd job and waits till he is home from his day job to deal with Avid.

I had a batch of Ikens LR306s about 6 weeks ago that didn't fit right, I sanded down the threads a little bit and resolved the issue...
