well its not from running it dry because most of my juice is thin and it kind of auto feeds, I'm kind of dissapointed with it, I've been running cheap LR306s ever since I got my first reo, I got the first batch 5 for $30 dollars then I found another site that had 7 for $42 then found a coupon code which brought it down to 35 bucks. I don't know what the ohms are on the cheapies I never metered them I think the sites said 1.7ish but the point is I haven't lost one of those yet. I broke down and bought a couple ciscos from avid vaper to see what all the fuss was about got it monday and killed it tonight I'm sure it was my user error but that is the fastest I've killed an atty I guess I'll stick with the cheapies :(

I'm sorry kabonk...that blows. I have both atties from PS (don't know what brand they are) that have been in rotation for over 6 months and they're still going strong....draw is getting a bit stiff...but I'll drill out the holes (LR510) and revive them again. My Cisco LR306 is only a couple months old, being used in rotation. I'm glad the cheapies work for you.

kabonk,,, I have been using Cisco's for about 8 months now, The one tip i can give you, When you take one out of the package, The first thing you need to do is FLOOD it, Then let it stand for about 10 mins. The reason for this is they don't have any primer in them when you getem... If you get it really wet before the first fire up it gets everything coated inside.
After that you should be fine...

If you taste even the faintest bit of burn when you first start using a Cisco, You are hurting the atty.... Hope this helps.....

Never killed a Cisco ... Burnt one on the first hit once and had to de-wick it.

Now I do the 10 drops / 10 min rule.

Been using Ciscos for about 4 months I would guess, they are all still going strong.

That said, I can't tell the difference between a Cisco and Joye when it comes to LR 306s (except the DTs fit different)
If I used more of them I would go back to the 5 for 30 from liquidXpress.

510s its no comparison though ... IMO the Cisco 2Ω 510 is the most versatile atty available for an 18650 set up.
