solution to what? A free market?
In a free market you can put any price you want on something you own, you will either find someone willing to pay it or you won't.
so just because some members feel the prices for some of these items is too much for them to spend you are trying to make a rule about how everyone can price their items?
If they feel the price is to high then they don't have to buy the item. problem solved.
I guess then they will have to resort to the old ebay trick of marking shipping and handling way up.
or are you going to make a rule about how much the handling charge can be too?
For the record i have never profiteered. but it is not your responsibility to dictate who can sell what or for how much.
What people are seemingly forgetting is, we have members who buy hard to get items, they go out of stock, then they post them on the Classifieds for unreasonable prices. So you think this is ok? Well I don't and neither do many others. 99% of the time, this is the price gouging we see complaints on and this is what we mainly want to stop. I don't see how this is "free market", I see it as underhanded profit scheming and we will not contribute to these people making a profit off our members on hard to acquire items.
No item that is no longer in production or is one-of-a-kind will be affected by this new rule.
"but it is not your responsibility to dictate who can sell what or for how much" so enforcing the rules is not my responsibility? Profiting in the Classifieds is a violation, selling non-ecig related items is a violation, so it's not my responsibility to enforce these rules?
I think people are reading too much into this new rule and not truly understanding the purpose.
