That thread should be required reading (do I sound like an English teacher???!!) for all REO newbies. Fascinating. The irony that you had to keep bumping the thread to keep it alive is just beyond reality. Look at this place now! Also....it reminded me of how Rob (called "red" back then because of his avatar...Ha.) hasn't changed one bit. He's always been the same nice, appreciative, humble modmaster that he is now.....and way back then people were talking about what a quality product the REO was and what quality customer service Rob was offering. Everything has changed yet nothing has changed.

I think back to the day of that post and remember that I was selling all my vape gear like my state of the art Mr. Puffer's  in order to buy one of these REO things. Tho at the time I hadn't tried one yet something inside said this was what I needed and others was going to need one too. If you read further you see that it took many bumps and posts in order to keep the thread on the front page. Now if you miss a couple of days in the Lounge your pages behind and scurrying to catch up. :)

Yeh, I did read on.....and I remember that first thread.....I came into Reoville W-A-Y before we had to split the thread.....now we're on (what??) the third Lounge thread? Anyway, it just brought back a bunch of memories. There are people in that thread I remember after seeing their avatars, but who are never/seldom around anymore. I remember Clumsy. And Amajin is actually the first person who answered a question for me about REOs.....funny how you never forget the people who help you out right in the beginning. I remember Mlinky. When SHE was a newbie, I "helped" here on the newbie forum (answering general vaping questions) then when I finally made my way to Reoville, she was here. It felt like being in a class taught by one of my former students. LOL

It just brought back a lot of memories and feelings from the early days of Reoville and from when I got my very first REO.

I have one week left on my job before retirement. I think I'm just feeling funny and nostalgic about a lot of things this month.

I check a couple times a day for a mini, and see one a once in a while, but I'm looking to steal one, so not any luck there. :( I've been Jonesing for a new mini tho.

There's a blue original Mini on classifieds right now by Ratman, and he just dropped the price. Might check that out. Looks pretty.

Hi Jan,

Enjoy your retirement. I'm sure you will find plenty enough to keep you busy, when you want to be busy and when you just want to do nothing. Congratulations...and thanks for helping so many Reonauts.

To think before this massive forum and the before Lounge thread was called the Lounge it started here E Cigarette Suppliers Forum

Mlinky  was one of the few lawyers I ever really liked. Clumsy was a sweetheart and Amajin helped many with REOs back then but was well replaced by our the infrequent MXBNW (Lisa's Wayne)...not that Lisa's hasn't stepped up.

Thanks, Laurin. I'm really looking forward to it.....it was/is my choice: I could work another few years if I wanted. I just want to retire while I'm still "young" and healthy. LOL Anyway, it's going to be awesome, I'm sure. It's just a big change. I have worked all my life, raised two kids as a single parent, and just never looked up. Now that I can retire, it somehow feels like I'm "cheating." I'm just experiencing some strange (but not necessarily bad) feelings and emotions.

I think I'm going to pay off my house (it's really close, but want to get rid of the payment,) buy me a little Fiat 500 (They're soooo cute,) then settle in to a brand new chapter. It's really very exciting, but big changes are always a little unnerving.....

Well? Heading north to Maine? Like I already mentioned, there's an airport in Bangor AND Portland. Grandkids will be just a flight away!!

Dennis' daughter also wants a Fiat...perhaps you work out a package deal? ;)

Back in the mid 60's my dad got a couple little Fiat's. They were beat up but ran. We lived in California at the time. He would take us kids out and go off road! He was pretty scary driving those! He sure had fun. Kept me on the edge of my seat. He would tear through fields, ruts, and dust.

Boy talk about memories!

Your post made me think and a little nostalgic too but not just about my 1st REO but my 1st mod. It wasn't a PV but a modded cart. Back then no bottomfeeders, tanks or even cartos just those PIA carts with filler which needed filling constantly. Then like a bolt from heaven there was "SCOTTYBALLS" LOL (a members' name) who came up with the ZFM...and life got a little better. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...466-another-zfm-may-interest.html#post1382586

in the 50's/60's when I was a kid, my dad had a fiat. we kids remember it because he would lay the back seat down for us to sleep and our legs and feet were in the trunk :)

are those of us who can only afford used reos considered stepkids? LOL
