You are a REO old timer for sure Gil!
As Im reminded with every passing minute of every passing day.

You are a REO old timer for sure Gil!
That thread should be required reading (do I sound like an English teacher???!!) for all REO newbies. Fascinating. The irony that you had to keep bumping the thread to keep it alive is just beyond reality. Look at this place now! Also....it reminded me of how Rob (called "red" back then because of his avatar...Ha.) hasn't changed one bit. He's always been the same nice, appreciative, humble modmaster that he is now.....and way back then people were talking about what a quality product the REO was and what quality customer service Rob was offering. Everything has changed yet nothing has changed.
I check a couple times a day for a mini, and see one a once in a while, but I'm looking to steal one, so not any luck there.I've been Jonesing for a new mini tho.
Yeh, I did read on.....and I remember that first thread.....I came into Reoville W-A-Y before we had to split the thread.....now we're on (what??) the third Lounge thread? Anyway, it just brought back a bunch of memories. There are people in that thread I remember after seeing their avatars, but who are never/seldom around anymore. I remember Clumsy. And Amajin is actually the first person who answered a question for me about REOs.....funny how you never forget the people who help you out right in the beginning. I remember Mlinky. When SHE was a newbie, I "helped" here on the newbie forum (answering general vaping questions) then when I finally made my way to Reoville, she was here. It felt like being in a class taught by one of my former students. LOL
It just brought back a lot of memories and feelings from the early days of Reoville and from when I got my very first REO.
I have one week left on my job before retirement. I think I'm just feeling funny and nostalgic about a lot of things this month.

Hi Jan,
Enjoy your retirement. I'm sure you will find plenty enough to keep you busy, when you want to be busy and when you just want to do nothing. Congratulations...and thanks for helping so many Reonauts.
...with a Linux job running every few milliseconds that sends an alert to your smartphone.![]()

I think I'm going to pay off my house (it's really close, but want to get rid of the payment,) buy me a little Fiat 500 (They're soooo cute,) then settle in to a brand new chapter. It's really very exciting, but big changes are always a little unnerving.....
Dennis' daughter also wants a Fiat...perhaps you work out a package deal?
You are right...they are sooooo cute. I also like the commercial.

I am use to the teasing.
I like to move to music. Even at 60 I can still do a little wiggling and bobbing!
Back in the mid 60's my dad got a couple little Fiat's. They were beat up but ran. We lived in California at the time. He would take us kids out and go off road! He was pretty scary driving those! He sure had fun. Kept me on the edge of my seat. He would tear through fields, ruts, and dust.
Boy talk about memories!
