Remove the coil so you can clean the contacts and the posts. But I think you can soak the coils too.

If I was doing a hardcore teardown, I'd remove even the grub screws too and soak everything loose in a small bowl of hot soapy water, then use an old brush later to brush the parts. BUT be very careful about losing your parts.
I used to do teardowns of other things with small parts and kind of have some small experience with that. If you're worried about losing your parts, then don't strip the tiny stuff off.

And... I think a coil can be dry fired to burn off all the gunk.

Thanks! I will try with the coil intact first and see how it comes out

Once I get all these gunk off then it's off to buy some muji cotton and figure out where I can get kanthal wires. I went to a hardware shop once and the uncle looked at me blur saying their wires no brand one

As far as I know, you can't get wires for coils here.
The arts and crafts places that sell wires for beading and jewellery making may sell stainless steel wire, but I can't advise the gauge that they carry or if they even know themselves.
Kanthal isn't a brand but a type of heating element (you'll have to look online for more details).
No idea where to find nickel or titanium wire or if the stuff someone from a non-vape environment sells you is actually pure enough for vaping.
Good luck.

Sent from the road.

So do people here actually build their own coils? Or there is some place they get prebuilt coils? Considering my status is still new to this forum I have no access those information

I went to study and view a lot of YouTube videos on building the coils and would be a bummer if I couldn't

Yeah people do build their own coils. And yeah they do buy ready made ones too.
I'm also pretty new to this but I've got more experienced friends who've showed me the ropes.
Plus I waste far too many hours looking at vape porn online. [emoji12] [emoji4]

What I know and expect is that most local vapors would get their stuff when they're overseas.
As for whether you can order the stuff online, the risk is all yours and the general concensus is, "don't try."
As for "local" sellers off social media... Too many scammers out there and no way of telling the good ones from the crooks.
Hope this helps.

Typed with my thumbs and sent from my phone.

Best would be to build your own coil. Just upload your images to imgur and then link the images through the forum's text editor when you're posting to a thread.

Wire's aren't really contraband, Just search "Kanthal A-1 Wire Singapore" or something in google.

Thanks! Hope this image thing works. My first feeble attempt to clean the rba

ok update guys... I just fried my subox...so im out now
I tried to fix the 510 connector since my battery is not showing any charge and when I put back the battery to charge, I put it in the wrong direction.

NExt I know, smoke , burnt smell.... and that's that... the charging port is fried

Considering that I have no sources here in sillypore, I would be out of the vaping thing for some time till I head north again (god knows when)

I thought subox has reverse battery protection? Do you have another battery that you can try out---in the right direction and see if it can start up? If it's just the port that's fried, you could charge it with an external battery charger.
