Cleaning and Refilling issue

Ok, so I really didn't like the flavor of my original order and I ordered a new one.

In anticipation of the new flavor arriving, I took the carts that were in use and cleaned them out to try and minimize any carry over taste from the original juice.

I rinsed the filler and cart with water and left them to dry overnight on a paper towel.

Received the new juice today. Loaded it up and got nothing at all.

I can hear the atty crackling and it gets warm after a few seconds but no vapor at all at first.

I left them sitting for a bit, coming bck to them every 5 minutes or so and slowly I am getting a very small amount of vapor from a juice that was reviewed by a lot of ppl and said to produce great vapor in a 510, which is what I'm using.

What have I done wrong?

Thanks,

Rob

Did you clean out your atty? It could have water in it or it could be flooded with juice. I think both of those things will end up making it so your not getting any vapor. Do you hear a gurgling sound when you draw?

i didn't because i don't have any spares. one cig is my wife's, and i haven't ordered backups yet.

i do hear the gurgling sound. thats a better description than "crackling", which is what i used in my op.

Hey Rob!

If you hear a gurlgling sound the attie is flooded.

Did you blow out the atty after rinsing w/ water? If not, blow HARD from the threaded end over a paper towel several times.

Replace the atty onto the batt and prime w/ a couple of drops of juice and very slowly draw serveral times...keep drawing and you'll notice the gurgling sound will diminish and the vapor will increase as the atty vaporizes the excess water/juice.

Should be good to go after that.

Gurgling means your atty is flooded. Take it off of the battery and blow through it. Put a paper towel on the end with the threads and blow really hard through the open end. You'll get juice coming out of the end with the threads. Keep blowing until you get no more juice coming out. Then put it all back together and try again.

Yes!!! That did it. Thank you for the great info. How do I avoid flooding it in the future?

It depends on the juice...
If it's a strong flavor like menthol or anything minty, it can be quite difficult to get out.
Some say you can never get Atomic Cinnacide out of an atomizer.
That's why many people rotate several attys and dedicate 1 to each flavor.

But the milder flavors are ok.
Like I have 1 for Fruity Flavors (don't care if watermelon mixes with strawberry)
1 for drinks (rootbeer / cola etc..)

I had one that was just Tobacco in there and I don't like it much at all.

Then I got Do More Eh which has received rave reviews and I can still taste the old one in there. Its supposed to be very realistic to the Canadian brand DuMaurier, but I'm not tasting the realism. I still taste the old juice
