Cleaning atomizers. Yes? No?

I very very rarely clean my atty's, I use one all the time, just used one for 3 weeks without cleaning, rinsed it under warm water this morning for about a minute, dried it and put about 3 or 4 drops on the bride and vaped away... I noticed when I held the button I couldn't see the heating coil turn red, I rinsed it and dried it held the button and I could see it turn red, since then I've been getting more vapor and better throat hits.

I've had my two 510's since May and have used them both, The first couple of puffs are great but after that I get the smoke from more of an air suck then a cigarette with a good throat hit. Plus after a while it's almost like air sucking on just a battery with that battery taste. No more taste of the e liquid. It's a bit disappointing. I just can't seem to find my muse. as they say. It's a great pv but would sure like to get this think working just right instead of when and how it wants to. Maybe it's time to clean the atty and possibly buy a better type of filters for it. Hopefully they will keep improving on these and the perfect one will be out there somewhere.

I don't clean mine, I don't blow them out, and I don't drain them out. Most of my 510 atties last for about a month or two, although the past few 510s have been dying a lot, such as a day or two after opening them. The LR atomizers last me an average of two weeks, without cleaning.

Once they stop producing vapor, I toss them.
