Hey everyone, I'm new to vaping and as such am limited to posting here (and not the Bloog forum where this may be more appropriate).

I bought a BMF with a 5-pack of blank cartos. I've seen tips on cleaning cartos, but I'm not sure if they apply to the BMF ones. Some people boil their cartos, but some people say don't boil the Bloog ones cause they're a coil design. I've seen Leaford's YouTube video with the reverse Taryn spin. He mentions his upcoming video that shows how to clean a carto using the spin, but I've yet to see it posted.

I honestly don't know which way to go. Boil? Flush with hot water? Spin? Ultrasonic cleaner w/ vodka (though I'd rather not spend any more money!)?

Thanks in advance!!!
Anthony

I wouldn't try pulling the filler out of a carto because you could damage the coil unless you're extremely careful. I just rinse mine in the sink under running hot water, blow them out real well and then let them dry for at least 2 days. Sometimes this works very well, other times I end up losing a carto. Losing one isn't a big deal because they're meant to be disposable and generally don't last as long as an atty. That's why they're so much cheaper.

That sounds about right then. I've seen people suggesting using a syringe to force the water through. I guess it cleans well without completely submerging like the boil method would. I was just confused cause I didn't know that there were different types of cartos and that each had a specific way of being cleaned.

Thanks again!

I've had really good luck with an ultra sonic jewelry cleaner and a food dehydrator.

I boil mine for 15 minutes on top of the stove to start, rinse and sling.

Now for the jewelry cleaner:

Get some water almost to boiling.
Sling out as much water that you can get out. Do it into a sink.
Load cartomizers into the jewelry cleaner and add the hot water.
Cycle the jewelry cleaner 3-4 times (3 minutes each).
Drain off the water and refill.
Cycle 2 more times.
Drain water and carefully remove the cartomizers.
Rinse under hot water and sling them again to get as much water out as possible.
Now put them into a food dehydrator and set on high. My dehydrator has a top fan to circulate the air.
Leave for 12 hours.
Refill and vape.
**If you have long cartomizers or jumbo's, drying time will vary.
