I had been just washing off my coil heads with hot water, letting them dry, and then vaping away. I was always afraid of dry burning because I didn't want to burn out the coil. This worked at first, but as time went by I noticed that the vapor production was declining. So today I washed the coil head with hot water and then did a dry burn...All I can say is WOW! What a difference the dry burn has made! Not just in vapor production, but in flavor as well:vapor:. I can't believe the difference and wish that I had done this sooner.

Thanks for posting this I will give it a try. I have a lot of different heads so to save time I just change them and then let them sit in a paper towel until I get back around to it and then add juice immediately(keep 2 or 3 in rotation). However I did notice that the vapor production was reduced but just thought it was the wicks getting older. How long do you dry burn them for? Is there something you are looking for to know it's done without burning the wicks?

Try using Isopropyl rubbing alcohol instead of water next time you fiddle with/clean the coil head. I've noticed some sort of carbon build up when I was using water. Haven't seen any of that since I recoiled and started using Isopropyl for my coil heads.
this only applies to the coil heads; you can clean the rest of your vivi parts with water or whatever you see fit.

best of luck!

No problem. After washing the tank and heads, dry everything off and put it back together before you do the burn. Blow through the drip tip to clear out any water. Then, as others have said just do a bunch of short bursts, a few seconds at a time until the coil starts to glow. Once it glows stop and you should be good to go.

I'll try the isopropyl rubbing alcohol next time I clean the heads, thanks for the suggestion

Hi Everyone! I am a brand new member and quite new to vaping. I love it, and I love that there is this community of Vapors to commiserate with. Thank you for inviting me!
Does anyone know where/if I can purchase vivi nova tanks in Edmonton or Calgary? Or even from a Canadian on-line store as I have heard that anything to do with vaping can be seized at customs if coming from US. I also need a ton of guidance as to how to rebuild vivi nova coils and wicks. Will bamboo/silk work for wicks? Will 30 gauge stainless steel wire work to make coils? Any advice you are willing to share with me will be very greatly appreciated! I look forward to hearing from you!

You can order whatever you want from US stores the only thing they can seize is juice and they have to prove there is nicotine in it before they can take it. Hardware is all good, but for Canada Canvape.com is the best hardware dealer I've found.
