Cleaning eGo battery switch with distilled water?

Has anyone tried this? My understanding is that it's the dissolved minerals in most water that ruins electronics when they get wet. Distilled water shouldn't have very much so it should be safe to use for cleaning of the switch and connector. One of my batteries has a sticky switch due to a juice leak and I would like to clean it.
Please help.

I've used rubbing alcohol but never water. The alcohol will evaporate quicker but still leave it alone for a bit after cleaning it.

Water is a big no no...
Alcool, as (cough cough...) hairball said, is your best choice.
Even destilled water will leave residues that may damage the switch.

So, rubbing alcohol then. What method should I use? Irrigate, soak, something else?

I would use a cottonball, paper towel or q-tip. I would avoid soaking or irrigating.

I used a paper towel soaked in 70% isopropyl alcohol and it seems to have worked. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!
