+1 for Goof Off! Haven't met any label residue yet that it hasn't gotten off.

In the store today I saw Goo Off, after reading this thread before going out it made me laugh to see an entire display of it and I almost bought a bottle! But I have WD-40 everywhere so I figured I did not need another solvent. Did have me reading the package though!

I have used with very good results good old fashioned Zippo lighter fluid.
I little scrub with a cotton ball and it cleans the most stubborn residue off.

Then a soap and water bath....all sqeaky clean....glass or plastic.
:toast:

I take it you used Zippo lighters as a smoker? I still have a case of cheap butane lighters sitting on the shelf used to get a free lighter every time I bought 2 packs.

@SteveS45, LOL whats funny is I can't remember ever using a Zippo.
The can is showing signs of rust and has a paper sticker price tag of 1.75....
Have no idea how old it is or why I even have it....

My dad owned his own business and used to hand out lighters with his co. name and add/ph# on them. I have about 15 of them....30 plus years old and never used.
