Hello... I'm new to dripping. I bought a 'LavaTube' clone and it came with two 510 atomisers, which look like a mini 510 carto with nothing but a wire mesh wick in it. I am digging the drip experience...freaking amazing. I'd appreciate some help, friends.

1) Can I clean this and vape similar flavours in it? If yes, how?
2) Recommendations on inexpensive but well performing atties for a beginner?

Thanks for your input!

Isn't dripping wonderful!

Kalamazoo has the best prices that I know of at the moment.

Every once in a while Digitalciggz will have a really good special on 510 atties. They also have a discount code (ciggz10) and free shipping for anything over $10. But, they don't have a special right now.

Yes, you can clean out your atty. To get more details about cleaning and anything else you might possibly want to know about atties and dripping, you might also check out this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizers-cartridges/405910-regular-atty-drippers-dying-breed.html

You can remove remaining liquid by blowing through the threaded end of the atomizer onto a paper towel. I have started using the reverse taryn spin method. In the video below they are using a cartomizer, but I have found it works great for atomizers. You will need a condom from a 510 or 808 cartomizer to do it though.

If they get really gunked up this method works great-

As far as atomizers, seems like it's hard to go wrong with Joye 510's both standard and low resistance. Inexpensive, easy to find and reliable.

I think it's worth it to get Empire Mods atties at $5.99 each. The Joyes need to be pre-cleaned or taste icky, and the flavor is muted compared to Empire, Avid, Ikenvape, Vapage or Ahlusion atties. They leak a lot too. I bought five for $10 from Digital Ciggz, and I am using them, but they're nowhere near the others I've named for flavor and vapor. For me, of course; some people love 'em.

As for cleaning, blow them out from the driptip end through the threaded bottom (or you may unseat the cup and filler material, or loosen the coil connections). Occasionally rinse them in warm running water, and if they're really gunked up -- which they shouldn't be if you've followed the first two suggestions -- a couple hours soaking in vodka or PGA before being rinsed in warm water. Enjoy dripping!

+1 for Empire mods.
