Cleaning rubber O-ring of Nautilus

Hey everybody, I was wondering if anyone's had any trouble cleaning the big rubber o-ring on the base of the nautilus. I was going to sell/trade my nautilus but can't manage to get the smell of thug juice out of that piece of rubber.

If you have any tips for cleaning it, please share!

You can try soaking overnight in a solution of white vinegar and water, or water and baking soda.

I don't know about vinegar. You might get rid of one smell in return for another? It might even harden or degrade the o ring. I haven't tried it, so it's just my opinion. Maybe baking powder/soda (sodium bicarbonate) might work? Wet the powder and make it into a paste and smear it on the o ring.

White distilled vinegar (I think some call it spirit vinegar) is commonly used for cleaning in kitchens as it easily removes odours, while not having an odour of it's own. Try it. If it smells it's not the right one.

I'm a fan of oxi-clean, however, I'm not sure if it will dry out rubber parts. Sure does clean well with no odor or taste though.
