I don't bother with cleaning anymore. I use it till it seems like it is going burnt. That ranges from the different liquids I use. The sweeter the juice, the shorter they last.

Before I had enough tanks for all my liquid, I would use hot water. I let them sit to get the oil more runny, and I would blow them out until the liquid used in it seemed to be gone. Then, I'll let them sit and dry with occasionally blowing the water out of them.

Hi, I was wondering what method you all go about cleaning these shorty single coil carts? Do I just rinse or do I have to take out inside piece of meshy like cotton? Also how long will these last before replacing? Thanks so much!!

Almost impossible to take out the polyfill. It is wrapped in a roll. I cut down the side of a carto with a dremel, and still had a hard time pulling out the mesh.

Some people boil their used cartos, some soak them in Vodka and them rinse them out, others use a syringe with hot water to force water through to clean them out, and others use a combination of all these to clean them. All these work with varying success. I have tried them all and have about a 40% success rate. The thicker the juice, the lower the success rate, purely by observation.

I buy my cartos here, and at the cost of about a $1 each shipped, so it is not worth it for me to spend the time cleaning them. Especially, with a less than 50% success rate. Cartos last me about a week, and I use two at a time. So $2 a week I can handle. Of course, you have to buy 25 at a time.

I use this kit from smoktek, it does the job and my cartos last forever. I usually do a quick flush with water, let them sit for a day, then repeat with alcohol, then finish with water. If I need them quicker, just just doing a cycle of 10 strokes with water, ten with alcohol, then ten with water gets them clean enough to reuse though they will still have some lingering smell from the previous liquid. Even with the fast clean, I have yo be switching from a very strong to a very weak liquid to pick up the taste.
