HELP!!!!!! I had menthol flavoured juice in my stardust tank and now everything I put in it tastes like menthol!
I rinsed the tank with water and did some dry burns but it is still super menthol! I am vaping grape menthol now (actually not bad).
I would really like to get rid of the menthol, do I need to ditch this tank or can it be cleaned?????

He Ruth welcome to EDF here are different ways to clean along with some other stuff you may find useful.

I myself soak them in alcohol. I do now feel a jewelry sonic cleaner is needed as my juice causes a crust on the heating element and wick. I no longer use tanks but for a tank or a carto you can take the carto/core and wither us an old carto condom to fill as well as work alcohol or a cleaning solution through the wick material. Just make sure you flush it good. They also make a thingie which attaches to a syringe and that has a 510 thread on it so you screw it to the atty/carto/core and push an pull stuff through it to clean it. For a tank I'd do that even when new just to make sure machine oil or something is not in or on it. The tank itself is easy. Soak and fulsh. Make sure no mater the cleaning medium you flush it out and let it dry. Some say us everclear or vodka I did that and got good results with just plain isopropal alch. Cheaper and all you have to do is flush.
Oh almost forgot for cleao's/stardusts if you get the repairable kind like the CE4+'s and the Vivi Nova ( my favorite) you can take them apart makeing them easier to clean and of course replace bad parts.

Hey Ruth,
I am new here also so I don't know alot but the dealer where I purchased my clearomizers told me to never use plain alcohol.( Don't know why, I should have ask.) He said moonshine, vodka or everclear. I used the everclear the tank I had been using methol in and then filled it back up and the menthol taste was gone. I did rinse 3 times thoroughly, Hope this helps.

You don't want to use isopropyl alcohol becauseit is not safe to ingest. Never clean something with a product you wouldn't drink.

Ruth the heads are very easy to replace. You just unscrew them and screw a new one back on.

Vodka seems to do the job for me. Generally I only use it once every couple of weeks or after a dark or strong tasting juice though (like the OP's menthol). I give my Vivi heads a good hot water rinse every 3-4 tanks or when switching favors.

Yes cheap vodka is your friend when it comes to cleaning carto's and tanks to change flavors to get that nice fresh flavor back again... Just make sure you let them soak for a good while then let them dry completely
