So after having the issues with the 'soapy' tasting liquid, I cleaned my GeniTank and replaced 2 of the O-rings (I don't have any for the base - that's the next order). I rinsed the coil in hot water...can I put that same coil back in since it was new to start with? Wait 24 hours? Sorry for the dumb question.

Hi Paramaniac and welcome to ECF!

There's only one type of dumb question, and that's the one that's not asked :)

Yes, you can put the coil back in. Just vape lightly until the eliquid overtakes the water. Some folks resort to using a hair dryer to dry the coil out before putting it back in, though.

Hope that helps and Happy vaping

Cool! Thanks!

... but there's a chance you are likely to get some stupid answers, like the one I was prepared to offer.

LOL. Now you have me curious. :p

Heh... not as curious as I am about your experience with Crab Juice!!! :D

It really wasn't that awful. There was no coughing, no gagging. There was, however, one hell of a "What the hell?!" facial reaction. I described the taste as "Just wrong!" By that, I mean along the lines of the 'Every Flavor Beans' that Jelly-Belly (I think it aws them) had out - specifically the peppercorn (or black pepper, whatever they called the flavor)...taste is right...texture is ALL WRONG! It really didn't taste horrid...wasn't what I was expecting...will never try it again, though and would definitely buy it as a gag gift. lol. I was expecting Old Bay and got...crab...a little bit of spice (can't tell what it was)...and fish brine. It wasn't gag-worthy for me, though, maybe because I'm from SC.PA and grew of with crab and seafood. Wish I would have taped it for you. lol

Looks like you got the answer(s) you need, but I am going to add my stupid question.

You mentioned changing O-rings when you cleaned the tank. I have yet to ever change an O-ring. So to avoid providing a "stupid answer" (thanks for the heads up on that one, Psyko), I'll just ask: Is there any reason other then leakage to change O-rings?

Ugh... I don't know how you did it! I tried it when it was BlueMist, I don't know if they "reeled" in the yuck factor or what.
You definitely are a better person than me!

Wish I would have taped it for you. lol
Wait, wha?!? You didn't tape it or pics?!?
You know the rulez...

I'm changing mine to see if that helps with a soapy taste.
