Juice tastes 'soapy' in a particular tank

Not sure if it's just me, but I switched out one of my tanks back to my GeniTank with an 1.8Ohm coil (same resistance as before) and now my juice tastes 'soapy.' I'm using Kringle's Curse between 3.6V and 3.8V. It didn't taste that way before, and I didn't use any soap when I cleaned out the GeniTank. I did start a new bottle that is kind of hazy (no matter how much I shake it or stir it or let it sit at room temp), but I put some juice in my EMOW Mega tank (1.8Ohm between 3.6V and 3.8V) and it doesn't taste soapy. I tried both tanks on both my iStick and e-Go batteries w/ the same results and even tried changing the coil in the GeniTank. The last bottle didn't taste funny in the GeniTank or the EMOW. I even tried what is in my EVOD 2 (juice from the old bottle though) and there was no funny taste. I do have more liquid coming (just placed the order from Halo today) next week, but was curious if anyone else ever had a similar experience?
I didn't soak my GeniTank in Vodka or alcohol when I washed it. Would that make a difference?

So you tried the same juice, from the same bottle in 2 different tanks and it tasted soapy in one? Or just the new bottle taste soapy? Cause it could just need to be steeped if it's a new bottle. If that isn't, well I'm not sure, and sorry you are having a problem.

It tasted soapy in one tank. It doesn't taste AS good in the other tank as the other bottle did, but it's close to what it was in the other bottle.
As for steeping, you mean letting the bottle sit in the dark? It had been in a box under my desk for about 2 weeks unopened.

Well then I'm not sure. Any variables we are missing? Did you try smelling the eliquid? How did you clean your tank?

Ran the tank under hot water. Should I try soaking it in hot water or alcohol?

Its really amazing how the same juice can taste so much different in different tanks using different mods.

I find the same issue at times.

I just use a mild soap and water, rinse the heck out of them, including all associated parts. Let dry, don't seem to have any problems (knock on wood).

Giving it a good soak in hot water couldn't hurt, but I don't think that is the issue. Could be a bad batch of ejuice, was their a weird flavor in the tank before hand or did it sit dirty for an extended period of time maybe?

I have a little Spinner II and a Vapor Shark rNDA 40 with the same exact juice in them at the moment, the juice tastes 100% better in the Spinner....go figure.

New coil in the tank (1.8Ohm). It was actually the same flavor in the tank before (just the other bottle). I had taken it apart to clean it when it leaked after a refill (my own dumb fault - didn't get it closed tight enough) and it was sitting empty. I swapped out the tank for no particular reason back to the GeniTank from the EMOW. When I filled it with juice from the newer bottle is when it tasted soapy. I'll give it a good soak tomorrow and see how that does. If that doesn't work, I have more juice coming from Halo this week, so I'll try one of the new bottles when they come in.

Soap flavored e-juice...well...they do make the crab juice apparently... lol
Although...just because you can, doesn't always mean you should. lol

It's the o-rings mate.

The thicker ones between the glass and base/cap. They've either picked up flavors and are letting it back into the eliquid or have just gone funky on their own due to a lack of real cleaning (ever now and again, take it all apart including the o-rings and put in some warm water with a bit of dawn for a bit, then rinse and scrub off any residue with a q-tip). You can either replace them, or if they are fine, flip them.

I mean I could be wrong, but it fits the variables you listed.

I have had some juices that tasted soapy at first. After steeping (I mean really steeping for a month or more) they got better, but never got good.

Sometimes flavors have an alcohol carrier, which can taste soapy. Try uncapping the bottle for 12-24 hours, occasionally squeezing or blowing into the bottle (depending if it's plastic or glass) to remove the evaporates. To help the process, don't shake the bottle since the alcohol bases rise to the top.
