Cleaning the Bud Sapphire cartomizer

I just got a couple of these Bud Sapphires and first impressions are pretty good. I've been getting consistent wicking, no real problems with leaking or gurgling as long as I'm careful not to let any juice go into the airflow channel when I fill it, nice vapor and flavor, good throat hit, but after just a few tanks I'm experiencing bad juice discoloration and flavor contamination... and the juice is getting so thick and dark that I think the atomizer is getting too hot now, trying to burn off this stuff, it's like tar.

I know they are disposable, but throwing them out after 3-4ml seems like a waste.

So obviously I need to clean it out... any ideas? These don't seem very easy to pull apart and put back together reliably, but I gotta do something. I'll try a quick distilled water bath and blow through, I'll let you know how that goes...

They don't last more then 5ml if you use vg/pg mix. With pure PG they can last for about 2 weeks. I have 5 destroyed, all after 5ml of juices. They can be disassembled, i can attach pics, but there is no guaranty that you can assemble it again. Problem is wick, if it stay inside hole it is very easy to assemble it again, but usually it stays on heater and it is very difficult to put it in place again.
I want to buy some wick to try to assemble few of them again.
But if you don't use pure PG, try with some other type of carts.
I even put some vodka in my favorite juices, but without success.
