There are a few methods for cleaning cartos. I usually rinse them out under running tap water. Process would be; remove cap, rinse, blow excess water out through mouthpiece end, rinse, blow excess, etc. I then let them dry overnight upside down but some refill right away.

As for refilling, there are a few methods as well. I use a syringe when they're brand new and then add drops to top them off in between cleaning. There's also the 'CCFM' which stands for 'carto condom fill method'. You would add liquid to the cart condom and slowly push the carto down until the liquid is absorbed.

There are videos out there for cleaning and refilling but I'm in a rush now. If no one posts any next time I check I'll post some.

For soft caps, I just pop off the cap with a plastic fork and drip the juice in from the bottle. The cap comes off very easily when you sort of angle one of the fork prongs under it and lift. 15 or so drops. When I'm using a thick VG juice like rath's stuff, I do 6-7 drops, replace the cap and carto condoms, shake a bit, then repeat the process with more drops because it takes a while for a thick juice to seep in.

Hard caps I do condom refill method.

I don't want to post videos from different suppliers' subfora, I don't have their permission, but if you go to u-tube and search for whatever you need to see, you'll find tons of very detailed videos re. cartomizer care, including cleaning, refilling, etc. Or run an ECF search [scroll down to the very bottom of this page, left hand side], and type your search word. If you type "cartomizer cleaning, "cartomizer refillilling," and "Taryn spin," you'll be busy for the rest of this week.:D

I have seen these but just wondered if there was something different on the TURBO carts.
thanks

For me, the "condom refill" method is the best. I pop the softcap off, and put the cart in battery-end first. Popping the softcap off is crucial- the juice has more room and it doesn't sneak out on you and spill over. Then I Taryn-spin them (do a forum "search" for that, you'll find it ;))

As for cleaning, I'm down to two methods. I used to boil the carts, but I recently tried flushing them out with a turkey baster, and I find it to be just as effective. (flush with hot to clean, flush with cold to rinse) Also, the white cart filling takes less of a beating than it does from swimming around in boiling water, so I've noticed. I've only gone back to boiling them recently because I had a very bad cold, and my inner germaphobe wanted to decootie them. Once all signs of my cold have ceased, I will go back to the baster.

Oh..I dry them with the turkey baster too. (works great- blows the water right outta there)

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I haven't cleaned one yet, so I can't help you yet. But on paper, I don't see why they shouldn't be treated the same way. When I give them a bath, I'll report.

Mmmm. Re: cleaning
I have rinsed in alcohol and boiled 3 Turbos (as I do with other cartos) with the following results:
2 'dead': hear the activation, but no vapor/th comes
1 'nearly dead/impotent': very weak vapor

I'm curious to know if others have boiled the turbo carts with any success. For now, no more boiling these for me. It may also be the pre-rinse in alcohol that is killing them, but I doubt it. I guess I'll have to try rinsing one in alcohol and boiling one and see what happens.

I have boiled a bunch--only 1 dead (it wasn't a turbo). I think they have to be really free of water to work well. More drying time seems to work better for me. I use one of those cans of air duster to blow my cartos dry--from the atty side. seems to work well.

Don't use the canned air to dry your cartos. They contain some kind of a toxic chemical. Not suitable for inhaling. Maybe someone knows the details. I wouldn't use anything but air to dry them. Reverse Taryn spin, turkey baster, syringe, whatever, but not canned air.

I put them all in a ziplock bag of Rice and leave them about a day or two or until I need one. Read that here in the forum and it works well.

I have read to NOT EVER use Alcohol. I think it would be best to not do that. I did read something about Vodka though but don't remember what..

THANKS TO ALL THE REPLIES I DO APPRECIATE THAT.

Canned air....does not contain a toxic chemical. It contains a bitterent....an extremely nasty tasting compound to make it taste horrible. This is supposedly to help prevent people from inhaling the stuff to get intoxicated.

For blow drying I use the blower setting on my vacuum cleaner with that little angle nozzle or a stepped down precision nozzle from a computer vacuum kit...either way works great.
