I use glass bottles as they clean the best. I use hot soapy water then a 10 minute rince in my UC will usually get rid of most mix odors. If I use the bottle for the same mix I don't clean them. I in fact leave about 10% of the old mix in the bottom of the bottle and add fresh mix. This reduces the steep time to a fraction of what it usually takes. This is known as seed steeping. So if a mix usually takes 5 weeks to steep, seed steeping will steep the mix in 3 - 5 days.

Glass bottles I use the dishwasher. Plastic bottles I rinse them out several times and then place them in a container of warm water ( pushing them down till filled with water so they don't float ). I let the plastic bottles soak overnight ( including the tips and caps ). Then I empty the bottles and throw everything in a colander to dry.

Good Luck to You!!!

Haven't used glass bottles yet but I'm wondering are they dishwasher safe?

I guess glass bottles would be dishwasher safe ... but it would be useless to put them in a dishwasher ... The hole in the top of those bottles is so small, the dishwasher would never be able to get hot soapy water up into the bottle.

Make sense?

This 120 ml glass bottle would [never] get cleaned inside well in the dishwasher ... much less rinsed any good
